5 SUPER COMBED (CB392) R Fradd B/TT Slow to begin, lost further ground when checked, settled down at rear 8Ls from pace on rails, hard ridden to stay in touch at 800 M, made 5 wide run 5Ls away on turning, came with big run to swamp them in final 100 M. Big effort.
3 HAIL THE STORM (CE125) S Dye B Began fairly, not pushed early and drifted back to near rear, 2 wide 6Ls away throughout, made searching 3 wide run from 600 M, still a bit to do at 400 M but stuck to task well closing strongly to take 2nd late.
9 FLAMING LAMBORGINI (CE146) D Whyte B1/TT Began reasonably, allowed to settle just off midfield, 2 wide 5Ls away in mid-section, tracked 3 wide from 600 M and 4 wide on turn, loomed to hit lead at 200 M and fought strongly but unable to hold off rivals late.
12 VERY FIT (CE071) O Doleuze TT Away well, showed good early speed to take up running after 300 M, backed off pace nicely after working a little early, held 1L advantage turning and kicked away, collared at 200 M but kept on well to make the frame.
7 LIGHTNING STAR (CD405) H W Lai B Broke with them, ridden along to settle in midfield position 4Ls away 2 wide, followed 3 wide with trail into race from 600 M, under pressure on turning but kept finding to finish on heels of placegetters.
2 SATURN (CD154) W C Marwing TT- Bumped early, pressed on but unable to get in, difficult to settle early but forced to be 3 wide without cover from midpoint, always working to turn, in mix until 250 M but just couldn't find extra gear. Much improved effort.
4 ORIENTAL MAGIC (CE133) G Mosse TT Showed no early speed, niggled along to hold position 3 back on rails 3 to 4Ls off pace, enjoyed easy trip in mid-section, eased wider in straight and got clear at 250 M, closed race off evenly to be nearest at finish.
6 AGILITY (CC361) C Munce -- Crowded for room early, lost position and took up spot close to rear on rails 6Ls away, spent little in run to turn, made run between horses in stretch and stuck to task in straight to make up some ground. Even effort.
10 SILVER SUN (CE126) D Dunn -- Began only fairly, proved difficult to settle, positioned just off midfield on rails 5Ls away, made run between horses in straight but closed race off only fairly when asked holding ground to line.
11 WILLIE DETROY (CG007) F Coetzee TT Broke with them, allowed to roll forward, unable to get in and race 3 wide without cover early, used up a little to eventually cross outside leader at midpoint, under pressure to keep touch into straight, lost ground when tiring late.
8 LUCKSWELL (CA171) E Saint-Martin B Began well, amongst first few early, raced 1 out 1 back 2Ls away when crossed at midway mark, close enough on turning, unable to quicken when asked and only battled to line.
13 DR WELL (CD165) W M Lai -- Fast into stride, took up position behind leader, overraced a little in mid-section, under hard riding approaching turn, weakened right out in straight to be well beaten uncharacteristically bad run.
