8 WIN PRACTITIONER (CG180) S Dye B Away fairly, allowed stride forward to race much closer outside leader, at leader's girth appreciating slow speed to bend, under pressure on turning and green when headed 200 M, found again last 100 M to kick back for a gallant win.
12 ROMANTIC GREEN (CG123) Y T Cheng CP- Shade tardy to begin, drove through to hold the leaders back and eventually was 3Ls back on rails, had a quiet time in mid-section, gradually improved when run presented in straight to get close on line. Much improved.
10 LE ROSSIGNOL (CG196) A Delpech CP Fastest to hit ground, rolled on to eventually take up the running, dictated terms at a leisurely tempo, held a narrow advantage on bend, let down well in straight and showed good fight to go under in a 4 way go.
13 STILTON (CG173) M Nunes CP Began well, slotted into coveted 1 out 1 back position, had an easy time 2Ls back with moderate tempo, in traffic on turning and held up until 200 M, quickened nicely when clear to make frame and should have been closer.
7 SANBENITO (CC256) A Starke CP/XB/TT Moderate getaway, caught 3 and 4 wide in midfield 4Ls off pace, always working and improved to be 2Ls back on bend, loomed up easily to challenge at 300 M and kept there just tiring last 50 M. Brave effort for workload.
2 PRIME SCORE (CG280) K T Yeung B Average to begin and soon restrained to slot in from a wide alley, raced 2 wide in rearward division 6Ls off speed, still well back to bend, switched wide in straight making many lengths from an impossible spot.
1 EYE WITNESS (CG027) F Coetzee XB/TT Just even break, didn't have the required pace and settled further back than usual behind midfield on rails 5Ls back, didn't work hard to bend, improved steadily behind them and made some good progress late to be nearest on line.
3 REGAL THRILLS (CE286) G Mosse B Out with rest, caught wide from an awkward draw, posted 4 wide 6Ls back without cover, allowed to stride forward 5 wide on circle, kept finding in straight and there to 100 M but workload took toll and run ended late. Tough run.
4 CHATER SILK (CG050) K L Chui B Standard getaway, raced fiercely early and pulled way into midfield, raced 2Ls back 3 wide without cover, always working to be 1L down on turning. Struggled to find another gear at 200 M and weakened out. (Checked late.)
9 GRAND NOBLE (CG148) W M Lai BO Slow to begin, restrained to rear and ended up 6Ls back on rails, not pushed in mid-section and saved ground on bend, angled out on turning and finished off reasonably without ever threatening.
11 RIGHT FRAAR (CE024) D Whyte -- Moderate start, settled down in rearward division 6Ls back, raced 3 wide with cover in mid-section, still had job to do on bend, continued to make ground in straight but run ended at 200 M and just plugged to line.
5 DANSOLDE (CE157) B Prebble V Out with line, positioned in midfield 4Ls back in 2 wide running line, back between horses in traffic on bend, didn't ever look likely and only battled when clear for a sub par finish. (See Racing Incidents - Rider advised "flat".)
6 MASTER MARAUDER (CA184) C Soumillon -- Began fairly, had enough dash to take early lead but assumed trail soon after, had nice trip on leaders back with slow speed on, run opened on entering straight but only managed 1 pace in straight plugging to line.
