JOY MASTER, which began only fairly, was steadied away from the heels of FORTUNE BUDDY which shifted out on jumping.
For some distance approaching and passing the 1200 Metres, BRAVERY AND POWER travelled keenly and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of ART OF RAW approaching the 1100 Metres.
Near the 1150 Metres, FORTUNE PATROL was brushed and taken wider by WILLFUL which proved very difficult to settle and shifted out abruptly from behind AMAZING AGILITY.
Rounding the Home Turn, FORTUNE PATROL was awkwardly placed outside the heels of WILLFUL which got its head on the side and shifted out away from GREEN GENERATION.
In the early part of the Straight, BRAVERY AND POWER was disappointed for running between GREAT SMART and THE FULL BLOOM which shifted out. Then near the 200 Metres, BRAVERY AND POWER was again disappointed for a run between THE FULL BLOOM and GREAT SMART and was consequently directed to the outside of GREAT SMART to obtain clear running near the 100 Metres.
Throughout the race, GREAT SMART travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, A Hamelin reported that although FORTUNE PATROL was slowly away and was unable to muster speed in the early stages, he anticipated that the horse would finish off the race strongly. He said however after being placed under heavy pressure rounding the Home Turn and in the Straight, FORTUNE PATROL was disappointing in its failure to finish off the race. A veterinary inspection of FORTUNE PATROL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
JOY MASTER and ART OF RAW were sent for sampling.

Race:2 (2) KOWLOON PEAK HANDICAP (Sec1) Class 5 1200 m

JIMSON THE DRAGON began awkwardly.
PLEASANT GUY was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
ADONIS and FANTASTIC FABIO bumped at the start. After this, ADONIS was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Despite being ridden along, FANTASTIC FABIO then took some time to muster speed and subsequently travelled wide and without cover.
From wide barriers, TARGET FINDER, SPEEDY DRAGON and ROYAL CHOCOLATE were also steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Near the 850 Metres, JIMSON THE DRAGON, which was racing keenly, was steadied away from the heels of U W BROTHER (C Schofield) which shifted in when not properly clear. C Schofield was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. After this, JIMSON THE DRAGON continued to travel keenly and was awkwardly placed behind U W BROTHER.
JIMSON THE DRAGON was badly held up for clear running from on straightening until approaching the 200 Metres at which stage the horse was shifted to the outside of U W BROTHER. When JIMSON THE DRAGON was shifted out, E GENERATION was inconvenienced.
U W BROTHER lay out under pressure in the early part of the Straight.
After being brushed by FANTASTIC FABIO near the 300 Metres, FOX CHEUNGER shifted out under pressure, resulting in MONEYMORE being inconvenienced.
A veterinary inspection of FANTASTIC FABIO immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a small cut to the outside of the right front pastern.
A veterinary inspection of E GENERATION and DASHING GRACE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MONEYMORE and TELECOM MISSILE were sent for sampling.

Race:3 (3) YI TUNG SHAN HANDICAP (Sec2) Class 4 1200 m

On arrival at the Start, SAM’S LOVE, which bumped a rail on entering the track, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said that the horse was suitable to race.
ALL JOYFUL began awkwardly, shifted in, and consequently became awkwardly placed close to the heels of COLONEL. After then being ridden along to obtain a forward position, ALL JOYFUL raced very keenly and got its head up for a considerable distance when being steadied away from the heels of HERO STAR after the 1100 Metres. When ALL JOYFUL was awkwardly placed behind HERO STAR near the 1100 Metres, it shifted in and hampered WINSTON’S LAD.
ULTRA EXPRESS began only fairly.
DIAMOND PEGASUS and NOBLE MAN bumped shortly after the start.
When being steadied from wide barriers to obtain cover, DAILY CHARM and GOLDEN MISSION bumped shortly after the start.
From the outside barrier, VIGOR CHAMP was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
ALL JOYFUL lost its left hind plate in the early stages.
Passing the 1000 Metres, SAM’S LOVE was momentarily crowded for room inside ALL JOYFUL which continued to race keenly.
Making the first turn after the 900 Metres, DAILY CHARM shifted out towards the heels of GOLDEN MISSION which shifted in, resulting in DAILY CHARM being momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse.
After being ridden along for some distance in the early stages to obtain a forward position, NOBLE MAN was left racing wide and without cover near the 800 Metres. Then in the Straight, NOBLE MAN gave ground. A veterinary inspection of NOBLE MAN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HERO STAR had some difficulty obtaining clear running passing the 400 Metres.
Passing the 400 Metres, GOLDEN MISSION was inconvenienced by SUPER RED DRAGON which shifted out after being brushed by NOBLE MAN.
ALL JOYFUL was held up for clear running from on straightening until approaching the 300 Metres.
In the Straight, DAILY CHARM raced greenly and near the 250 Metres was awkwardly placed close to the heels of VIGOR CHAMP.
Near the 150 Metres, ALL JOYFUL shifted in and made contact with the hindquarters of COLONEL, causing both horses to become unbalanced.
Passing the 100 Metres, ULTRA EXPRESS was shifted out from behind DIAMOND PEGASUS to obtain clear running.
For the majority of the race, GOLDEN MISSION travelled wide and without cover.
When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of DIAMOND PEGASUS, K Teetan stated that the horse was able to obtain a forward position without having to be made use of. He said he anticipated that from a wide barrier VIVA CHEF would cross DIAMOND PEGASUS which would result in his mount being able to obtain cover. He said however that when VIVA CHEF improved to be racing outside DIAMOND PEGASUS near the 1000 Metres, DIAMOND PEGASUS commenced to travel keenly and would not relax. He said because of the manner in which DIAMOND PEGASUS was racing, he was unable to obtain cover and when racing in the lead with VIVA CHEF continued to travel strongly in the middle stages. He added, in his opinion, DIAMOND PEGASUS’ failure to finish off the race could be attributed to it failing to settle in the early and middle stages and therefore he recommended to connections that they consider riding DIAMOND PEGASUS more quietly in its future races to ensure that the horse is able to obtain cover as he felt that it finishes off best when ridden in this manner. A veterinary inspection of DIAMOND PEGASUS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
ALL JOYFUL, WINSTON’S LAD and SUPER RED DRAGON were sent for sampling.

Race:4 (4) YI TUNG SHAN HANDICAP (Sec1) Class 4 1200 m

LUCKY GUY lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and began awkwardly.
UNTOLD RICHES began awkwardly.
MORE THAN ENOUGH shifted in at the start and bumped JUDY’S STAR. MORE THAN ENOUGH then shifted out and made contact with UNTOLD RICHES, causing both horses to become unbalanced.
BRIGHT KID shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of FORTUNE MASTER.
Shortly after the start, BREEZE OF SPRING was steadied away from the heels of WAR LORD which shifted in after being brushed by INTERSTELLAR.
From the outside barriers, FRESH POWER and ROCKET HAMMER were steadied and shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the 400 Metres, HAPPY TANGO was directed to the outside of JUDY’S STAR which was racing tight inside the heels of FORTUNE MASTER. HAPPY TANGO was then awkwardly placed close to the heels of JUDY’S STAR passing the 300 Metres as that horse was shifted to the outside of FORTUNE MASTER to obtain clear running.
LUCKY GUY had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight and after being held up for clear running behind INTERSTELLAR passing the 200 Metres then raced tight between that horse and DAY DAY RICH until near the 150 Metres.
Throughout the race, WAR LORD travelled wide and without cover.
When questioned regarding his riding of COPARTNER ERA in the early and middle stages, V Borges stated that he had been asked to ride the horse quietly from the inside barrier as it finished off its most recent start strongly when ridden from a rearward position. He said in accordance with his instructions he relaxed COPARTNER ERA in the early stages and obtained a position on the rail behind LUCKY GUY which was drawn inside COPARTNER ERA. When questioned as to why he did not maintain his position inside HAPPY TANGO, V Borges stated that it was his intention to shift COPARTNER ERA to the outside of runners rounding the Home Turn to obtain clear running and therefore he elected not to ride his mount along to maintain his position behind LUCKY GUY and inside HAPPY TANGO and was comfortable to allow HAPPY TANGO to cross COPARTNER ERA to race on the rail after the 900 Metres. He added he shifted away from the rail after the 600 Metres and followed BREEZE OF SPRING rounding the Home Turn before immediately shifting COPARTNER ERA to the outside of BREEZE OF SPRING at the entrance to the Straight to obtain clear running. He said COPARTNER ERA again finished off the race strongly in the Straight. Mr W Y So, trainer of COPARTNER ERA, stated that, from barrier 2, he asked Jockey Borges not to rush the horse in the early stages and obtain a position in midfield or behind midfield. He said he based these instructions on the manner in which COPARTNER ERA had finished off the race strongly at its final start last season and he wished for the horse to be ridden in a similar manner. He said whilst he agreed that it was available for COPARTNER ERA to be more forward than it was in the middle stages, it was his intention for the horse to be ridden in a similar manner in its future race starts given that it again finished off the race strongly today. V Borges was told that his riding in the early and middle stages had come under notice as there was an opportunity for the horse to maintain its position behind LUCKY GUY and inside HAPPY TANGO rather than allowing HAPPY TANGO to cross COPARTNER ERA after the 900 Metres. He was told to ensure that he places his mounts in advantageous positions wherever appropriate circumstances permit.
When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of MORE THAN ENOUGH, A Badel stated that in accordance with his instructions, he rode his mount positively in the early stages to take up a forward position. He said he was able to cross JUDY’S STAR at the 1000 Metres and MORE THAN ENOUGH then travelled well behind INTERSTELLAR. He said he rode his mount along rounding the Home Turn, however, was unable to shift out at this time due to WAR LORD maintaining its position outside MORE THAN ENOUGH. He said whilst MORE THAN ENOUGH did not have clear running in the early part of the Straight, the horse, in his opinion, was not travelling strongly enough to be able to improve into running between INTERSTELLAR and WAR LORD and after obtaining clear running near the 200 Metres, MORE THAN ENOUGH was disappointing in its failure to finish off the race. He added that MORE THAN ENOUGH may improve with racing and he recommended to connections that they consider stepping the horse up in distance in its future starts. A veterinary inspection of MORE THAN ENOUGH immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of INTERSTELLAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
UNTOLD RICHES, BRIGHT KID and BREEZE OF SPRING were sent for sampling.
<7/9/2020 Additional Veterinary Report>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that UNTOLD RICHES was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, UNTOLD RICHES will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Race:5 (5) MA ON SHAN HANDICAP (Sec1) Class 4 1400 m

SMILING FACE was slow to begin.
SUMSTREETSUMWHERE and SHANGHAI LAD bumped at the start.
From a wide barrier, CHUNG WAH SPIRIT was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover shortly after the start.
When being steadied to obtain cover in the early stages, JOYFUL CHEERS travelled keenly.
Approaching the 1100 Metres, VILLA FIONN was steadied away from the heels of TELECOM ROCKET which was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SHANGHAI LAD.
After the 1000 Metres, LEAP OF FAITH was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 900 Metres, SHANGHAI LAD, which was travelling keenly, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of KELMIMI WINS.
Near the 650 Metres, DIONYSUS COLLIN raced tight between HANG’S DECISION and TELECOM ROCKET which shifted out from behind SHANGHAI LAD.
VILLA FIONN was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and then raced tight inside SMILING FACE approaching and passing the 350 Metres when improving into restricted room inside that horse.
SUMSTREETSUMWHERE was directed to the outside of ANGEL OF MY EYES and LEAP OF FAITH after the 300 Metres to obtain clear running.
At the 200 Metres, KELMIMI WINS was steadied away from the heels of TELECOM ROCKET which shifted out away from the heels of ROMAN IMPERO to continue improving.
When questioned, C Schofield (TELECOM ROCKET) stated that it was intended for the horse to be ridden in a forward position as it was anticipated that there was not much speed engaged in the race. He said he was asked to ride TELECOM ROCKET behind the speed if possible, however, if there was not sufficient pace in the race, it was acceptable for him to lead. He said in the barriers TELECOM ROCKET was fractious and then began the race fairly, but then did not show as much early speed as anticipated. He said SHANGHAI LAD was able to maintain its position easily to the inside of TELECOM ROCKET despite him urging his mount along and when the pace in the early stages was fair, he elected to obtain a trailing position behind SHANGHAI LAD rather than covering unnecessary ground or having to make too much use of TELECOM ROCKET to obtain a more prominent position. He added these circumstances resulted in TELECOM ROCKET racing further back in the field than had been intended.
When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of KELMIMI WINS, K Teetan stated that he rode his mount initially to take up a forward position in accordance with his instructions and as he steadied KELMIMI WINS to take up a trailing position behind ROMAN IMPERO which was being ridden to obtain a forward position, KELMIMI WINS proved difficult to settle and would not relax. He said nonetheless KELMIMI WINS travelled well in the early and middle stages, however, after shifting out from behind ROMAN IMPERO to follow LEAP OF FAITH approaching the 500 Metres, KELMIMI WINS immediately came under heavy pressure and was not able to quicken. He said he placed KELMIMI WINS under further pressure after the 400 Metres, however, the horse, which was up in grade today, did not finish off the race and was disappointing. A veterinary inspection of KELMIMI WINS immediately following the race found the horse to be displaying an abnormal respiratory noise.
SUMSTREETSUMWHERE, LEAP OF FAITH and ANGEL OF MY EYES were sent for sampling.

Race:6 (6) LIN FA SHAN HANDICAP (Sec1) Class 4 1000 m

DUBLIN STAR began only fairly.
HELAKU KNIGHT, which began only fairly, was crowded for room shortly after the start between TIGER GLARE and LUCKY TURBO, both of which shifted ground.
Shortly after the start, PEGASUS GLORY was crowded for room between SURE WIN WIN and MANAGEMENT SUPREME which shifted in.
Passing the 300 Metres, HAPPY GOOD GUYS raced tight outside SUPER WINNER which was steadied away from the heels of PRINCE OF GEMS (A Hamelin) which shifted out. A Hamelin was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. After this, SUPER WINNER shifted out marginally before being corrected by its rider, resulting in HAPPY GOOD GUYS being hampered.
Approaching the 200 Metres, A Hamelin’s whip was knocked from his grasp by the whip of K C Leung (PEGASUS GLORY).
Passing the 200 Metres, HELAKU KNIGHT was momentarily shifted away from the heels of SUPER WINNER.
Passing the 150 Metres, Apprentice C L Chau (UNITED WE STAND) momentarily lost the use of his whip.
A veterinary inspection of HELAKU KNIGHT and SURE WIN WIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
UNITED WE STAND, PRINCE OF GEMS and PEGASUS GLORY were sent for sampling.

TELECOM JAC was crowded for room on jumping between METRO WARRIOR and PRINCE OF FROG, both of which shifted ground.
Passing the 750 Metres, CHANCHENG PRINCE shifted out abruptly away from the heels of TAKE WHAT YOU NEED which shifted out.
Near the 50 Metres, TELECOM JAC was shifted in away from the heels of TAKE WHAT YOU NEED after being awkwardly placed behind that horse. Then close to the finishing line, TELECOM JAC was awkwardly placed between TAKE WHAT YOU NEED and TRUST ME and consequently was not able to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race.
When questioned regarding the performance of CHANCHENG PRINCE, J Moreira stated that it was intended for the horse to be ridden behind the speed if possible. He said however that CHANCHENG PRINCE lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected, began only fairly and was then bumped shortly after the start by TRUST ME. He said because of these circumstances CHANCHENG PRINCE was then required to race further back in the field than had been anticipated. He said CHANCHENG PRINCE, which was graduating from griffin grade today, travelled fairly in the middle stages and, in his opinion, finished off the race satisfactorily given the fact that the horse had had to race further back in the field and amongst runners. A veterinary inspection of CHANCHENG PRINCE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
After the race, C Schofield was not able to offer any excuse for the disappointing performance of WAR OF COURAGE. He said the horse did not show as much early speed as anticipated and then did not travel as strongly as it had when he had ridden it previously. He said WAR OF COURAGE came under heavy pressure prior to the 400 Metres and then was disappointing in its failure to finish off the race. A veterinary inspection of WAR OF COURAGE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of KA YING MASTER immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
METRO WARRIOR and ALLIED AGILITY were sent for sampling.

BEAUTY LEGACY, which was following WISHFUL THINKER and which was also travelling keenly, shifted out away from the heels of that horse in consequence, resulting in RATTAN being taken wider.
Approaching the 700 Metres, CHAMPION’S WAY was awkwardly placed behind AMAZING STAR.
Rounding the Home Turn, CHAMPION’S WAY shifted out and bumped COMPUTER PATCH.
For the majority of the race, PERFECT MATCH travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that COMPUTER PATCH had sustained a small cut to the outside of the right hind coronet.
A veterinary inspection of WISHFUL THINKER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
COMPUTER PATCH, PERFECT MATCH and JOLLY BANNER were sent for sampling.

Race:9 (9) SUNSET PEAK HANDICAP (Sec1) Class 3 1400 m

STAR PERFORMANCE began only fairly and then was steadied away from the heels of ALCARI which shifted out.
HONGKONG GREAT began only fairly.
TIANCHI MONSTER and GREAT TREASURE were crowded for room on jumping between THE HULK and GIFT OF LIFELINE which began awkwardly and shifted out. After this, from the outside barriers, TIANCHI MONSTER and GREAT TREASURE were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Despite being hard ridden in the early stages, CORDYCEPS was slow to muster speed and consequently travelled wide and without cover throughout the race.
Passing the 1100 Metres, PERFECT PAIR was awkwardly placed close to the heels of REGENCY BO BO.
Passing the 900 Metres, TIANCHI MONSTER commenced to travel keenly and when being checked away from the heels of UNCLE STEVE got its head on the side and shifted out and became awkwardly placed near the heels of GIFT OF LIFELINE, resulting in TIANCHI MONSTER losing ground.
After the 800 Metres, PERFECT PAIR was left racing wide and without cover.
Near the 650 Metres, TIANCHI MONSTER was momentarily crowded for room inside GIFT OF LIFELINE which shifted in when awkwardly placed close to the heels of EXCELLENT PROPOSAL.
Rounding the Home Turn, EXCELLENT PROPOSAL was awkwardly placed when attempting to improve between UNCLE STEVE and ALCARI where there was insufficient room.
Passing the 300 Metres, THE HULK and PERFECT PAIR raced tight.
Passing the 250 Metres, ALCARI was shifted to the outside of REGENCY BO BO after being disappointed for running between that horse and CORDYCEPS which was taken out by TOP SCORE.
Passing the 200 Metres, GIFT OF LIFELINE was steadied when disappointed for running between ALCARI and EXCELLENT PROPOSAL (J Moreira) which shifted out. J Moreira was reprimanded and advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.
Passing the 100 Metres, CORDYCEPS was awkwardly placed outside the heels of UNCLE STEVE which was taken out by TOP SCORE.
H N Wong (GREAT TREASURE) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that over the concluding stages he permitted his mount to shift in under pressure which resulted in THE HULK being hampered when taken in across the rightful running of GIFT OF LIFELINE which was also hampered. H N Wong was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 23 September 2020 and to expire on Monday, 28 September 2020 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards took into account Jockey Wong’s good race riding record.
Close to the finishing line, TOP SCORE was awkwardly placed outside the heels of STAR PERFORMANCE which shifted out under pressure. Consequently, TOP SCORE was unable to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race.
When questioned, N Callan stated that, from the outside barrier, he was instructed to ride THE HULK in about midfield with cover. He said although THE HULK began very well, having regard to his instructions, he was reluctant to ride the horse for early speed and therefore elected not to press forward on THE HULK but rather to ride to his instructions. He said he allowed horses drawn to the inside of THE HULK to obtain a forward position and shifted across with PRIVATE COUNCIL in the early stages with a view to obtaining cover. He said when PRIVATE COUNCIL was able to improve its position inside PERFECT PAIR after the 1000 Metres, he was able to shift THE HULK in to obtain cover behind PRIVATE COUNCIL which was slightly further back in the field than had been anticipated.
A veterinary inspection of CORDYCEPS, ALCARI and PERFECT PAIR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
EXCELLENT PROPOSAL and STAR PERFORMANCE were sent for sampling.
<7/9/2020 Additional Veterinary Report>CORDYCEPS, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. CORDYCEPS was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K W Lui this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, CORDYCEPS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Race:10 (10) TAI MO SHAN HANDICAP (Sec1) Class 2 1400 m

AMAZING ONE PLUS, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 5.9.20 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, AMAZING ONE PLUS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
On arrival at the Start, Z Purton expressed concern regarding the action of HAPPY FUN when proceeding to the barriers. A veterinary examination of HAPPY FUN found that horse to be suitable to race and after the necessary consultations HAPPY FUN was permitted to start.
Also on arrival at the Start, FLASHCARD, which was found to have blood in its mouth, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.
AMAZING BEATS was slow to begin.
RACING FIGHTER shifted out at the start and bumped KING OPIE.
MONICA began awkwardly.
NORTHERN SUPERSTAR shifted out at the start and made contact with SUPER WEALTHY.
KYRUS UNICORN shifted in at the start and bumped the hindquarters of HAPPY FUN. After this, from a wide barrier, KYRUS UNICORN was steadied to obtain cover.
From the outside barrier, STAR SHINE was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Approaching the 1000 Metres, NORTHERN SUPERSTAR and SUPER OASIS raced tight.
Near the 150 Metres, SUPER WEALTHY was shifted to the inside of BEAUTY APPLAUSE when that horse drifted out under pressure.
When questioned regarding the performance of HAPPY FUN, Z Purton stated that on entering the track the horse did not feel comfortable in its action, however, HAPPY FUN appeared to free up behind the barriers and he was comfortable to ride the horse. He said he had to make considerable use of HAPPY FUN in the early stages to obtain a forward position as instructed and had to ride it aggressively after the 1100 Metres in order to clear BEAUTY APPLAUSE. He said in some of its track work HAPPY FUN had been reluctant to work off, however, today the amount of use that he had to make of HAPPY FUN was concerning. He said after crossing to race outside the lead prior to the 900 Metres, HAPPY FUN travelled only fairly and then came under heavy pressure at the entrance to the Straight. He said, despite being ridden out, HAPPY FUN gave ground noticeably after the 400 Metres and as he had concerns with the horse, he eased it down over the concluding stages. He added in its barrier trial in the lead up to today’s race, HAPPY FUN had disappointed him in the manner in which it gave ground in the Straight. He said after easing down HAPPY FUN in the latter stages of today’s race, he was not able to detect any abnormalities with the horse other than HAPPY FUN did not appear to be going as well of late as it was earlier last season. A veterinary inspection of HAPPY FUN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of HAPPY FUN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY FUN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments.
After the race, A Badel stated that SUPER WEALTHY, which was having its first start since 1 March 2020, raced keenly in the lead and in particular when HAPPY FUN improved to its outside near the 1000 Metres. He said because of the time between races and the fact that SUPER WEALTHY travelled keenly, the horse then tired over the latter stages. A veterinary inspection of SUPER WEALTHY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
BEAUTY APPLAUSE, MONGOLIAN KING and BALLISTIC KING were sent for sampling.
