Race:1 (768) MIDDLE GAP HANDICAP (Sec1) Class 4 1200 m

On arrival at the Start, the tongue tie applied to SCHOLAR was replaced.
SCHOLAR was crowded for room on jumping between BLAZING BEAT and SKY TREASURE, both of which shifted ground.
JAZZ STEED shifted out at the start and inconvenienced REGENT GLORY which was taken out onto the hindquarters of GLADSOME RYDER, resulting in GLADSOME RYDER being crowded for room inside ISLAND SHINE.
VIVA HUNTER shifted out at the start and bumped MEHBOOB.
From the outside barriers, MEHBOOB and AMAZEMENT were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 1150 Metres, GLADSOME RYDER was inconvenienced when steadied away from the heels of ISLAND SHINE which shifted in.
Near the 1050 Metres, SCHOLAR was checked and lost ground when crowded for room inside SKY TREASURE (K Teetan) which, when racing tight inside JAZZ STEED (Apprentice K H Chan), then got its head on the side and lay in away from that horse when being ridden along. Apprentice Chan was advised that, in the opinion of the Stewards, he had shifted in marginally inside the line of four wide, but that SKY TREASURE laying in away from JAZZ STEED had contributed significantly to this incident. Accordingly, Apprentice Chan was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he leaves comfortable racing room for runners to his inside in similar circumstances. K Teetan was also advised to ensure that he makes every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground in similar circumstances. When SCHOLAR lost ground, TOP MILITARY, which was following, was hampered in consequence. SCHOLAR then got its head on the side and lay out making the turn after the 1000 Metres.
When being steadied in an endeavour to obtain cover approaching and passing the 1000 Metres, REGENT GLORY got its head up on a number of occasions when travelling keenly.
Passing the 800 Metres, ISLAND SHINE momentarily raced tight inside the heels of FALCON TURBO.
After the 700 Metres, MEHBOOB was left racing wide and without cover.
At the 600 Metres, JAZZ STEED got its head on the side and lay in away from the heels of REGENT GLORY, resulting in BLAZING BEAT being crowded for room and bumping the running rail which resulted in BLAZING BEAT becoming unbalanced.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, SCHOLAR got its head on the side and lay out, resulting in ISLAND SHINE being crowded for room inside MEHBOOB. AMAZEMENT, which was following ISLAND SHINE, shifted out away from the heels of that horse and in doing so bumped VIVA HUNTER which was taken wider.
At the entrance to the Straight, FALCON TURBO raced tight outside JAZZ STEED which got its head on the side and lay out.
Passing the 300 Metres, BLAZING BEAT raced tight inside REGENT GLORY which shifted in.
For the majority of the race, FALCON TURBO travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of MEHBOOB immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of TOP MILITARY immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea.
SKY TREASURE and FALCON TURBO were sent for sampling.

Race:2 (769) STUBBS HANDICAP (Sec1) Class 5 1200 m

VECTOR began only fairly.
ARDENODE shifted in at the start and bumped VIVA MAMA. ARDENODE then became unbalanced, shifted out and bumped DAY DAY RICH which itself shifted in after being bumped by SHANGHAI POWER on jumping. This resulted in ARDENODE losing ground and DAY DAY RICH becoming badly unbalanced.
From wide barriers, AFTER ME and SPICY GRILL were steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Approaching the 1000 Metres, SHANGHAI POWER was steadied when crowded for room between LUCKY MARYKNOLL which shifted in and DAY DAY RICH which shifted out away from the heels of VIVA MAMA which made the turn awkwardly. WONDER BRAHMA, which was following, was inconvenienced in consequence and shifted in, resulting in OURGOLDENRULES being taken in onto ARDENODE which became unbalanced when crowded for room inside OURGOLDENRULES.
Despite being ridden along for some distance in the early stages, REGENCY POET was slow to muster speed.
Passing the 800 Metres, DAY DAY RICH was crowded for room between VIVA MAMA and SUNNY AND GOLD (Z Purton) which shifted in. Z Purton was reprimanded. When DAY DAY RICH was crowded for room, LUCKY MARYKNOLL, which was following, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse and shifted in, resulting in SHANGHAI POWER being inconvenienced.
Approaching the 700 Metres, REGENCY POET shifted in and was awkwardly placed outside the heels of LUCKY MARYKNOLL. Then passing the 700 Metres, REGENCY POET shifted out away from the heels of LUCKY MARYKNOLL which continued to race tight outside the heels of DAY DAY RICH.
LUCKY MARYKNOLL was awkwardly placed close to the heels of DAY DAY RICH making the turn after the 600 Metres and shifted out, resulting in REGENCY POET being inconvenienced when taken wider. After this, REGENCY POET travelled wide and without cover.
Rounding the Home Turn, SPICY GRILL and ARDENODE raced very tight as both horses improved into tight running between OURGOLDENRULES and WONDER BRAHMA. This resulted in ARDENODE and SPICY GRILL becoming unbalanced.
ARDENODE was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and near the 250 Metres attempted to shift to the outside of SHANGHAI POWER as that horse itself shifted out. This resulted in ARDENODE being disappointed for running outside SHANGHAI POWER and bumping SPICY GRILL which then shifted out of its own accord and bumped WONDER BRAHMA which became badly unbalanced when crowded for room inside REGENCY POET. After this, ARDENODE had some difficulty obtaining clear running until near the 100 Metres.
Also in the early part of the Straight, DAY DAY RICH got its head on the side and lay in under pressure.
Over the final 200 Metres, LUCKY MARYKNOLL shifted in under pressure, requiring its rider to stop riding and correct his mount on a number of occasions.
Near the 150 Metres, DAY DAY RICH and SHANGHAI POWER raced tight, resulting in DAY DAY RICH and SHANGHAI POWER making contact which then became unbalanced, shifted out and bumped DAY DAY RICH which also became unbalanced.
Near the 75 Metres, DAY DAY RICH was steadied away from the heels of ARDENODE which shifted to the outside of SHANGHAI POWER.
A veterinary inspection of SUNNY AND GOLD immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, SUNNY AND GOLD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of DAY DAY RICH immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SHANGHAI POWER, SPICY GRILL and LUCKY MARYKNOLL were sent for sampling.

Race:3 (770) MAGAZINE GAP HANDICAP (Sec1) Class 4 1000 m

MY MY MY shifted out at the start and bumped WHISKEY NEAT. MY MY MY then lost ground a short distance after the start when crowded for room between WHISKEY NEAT and SUPER COMMANDER which shifted out.
WILD WEST WING shifted out at the start and bumped VALIANT ELEGANCE.
MASTER OF FUN began awkwardly and then lost ground when crowded for room between TRAVEL DATUK and HAPPILY FRIENDS which shifted in. After this, from wide barriers, MASTER OF FUN and HAPPILY FRIENDS were shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
From the outside barrier, FARIBAULT was also steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
A short distance after the start, PACKING CHAMPION shifted out and inconvenienced WINMORE STAR.
Approaching the 750 Metres, WHISKEY NEAT shifted out and bumped INESTIMABLE. WHISKEY NEAT and INESTIMABLE again bumped near the 700 Metres.
INESTIMABLE was left racing wide and without cover after the 600 Metres.
MASTER OF FUN made the turn after the 600 Metres awkwardly.
VALIANT ELEGANCE lost its left hind plate at the 550 Metres.
Rounding the Home Turn, FARIBAULT was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MASTER OF FUN.
Passing the 250 Metres, SUPER COMMANDER and WILD WEST WING bumped. After this, both SUPER COMMANDER and WILD WEST WING shifted in under pressure.
Near the 150 Metres, WINMORE STAR got its head on the side and lay in towards the heels of WHISKEY NEAT, resulting in WINMORE STAR having to be checked away from the heels of that horse.
Approaching the 100 Metres, HAPPILY FRIENDS was shifted out a number of horses to obtain clear running.
Close to the finishing line, MY MY MY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SUPER COMMANDER and consequently was not able to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race.
When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of WHISKEY NEAT, J Moreira stated that he had to ride his mount along for a considerable distance to obtain a forward position. He said he attempted to cross SUPER COMMANDER in the early stages and lead as instructed, however, WHISKEY NEAT, which was coming back in distance tonight, did not show sufficient speed to be able to cross SUPER COMMANDER and WHISKEY NEAT was required to race outside that horse. He said WHISKEY NEAT did not travel well at any stage of the race and came under pressure after the 500 Metres to hold its positon. He added after riding his mount vigorously rounding the Home Turn, WHISKEY NEAT did not respond to his riding and then was disappointing in the manner in which it weakened out of the race in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of WHISKEY NEAT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of WHISKEY NEAT, favourite for tonight’s race, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, WHISKEY NEAT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
After the race, Apprentice C L Chau stated that, up in class tonight, VALIANT ELEGANCE was not able to show sufficient speed to lead despite being vigorously ridden along for some distance in the early stages. He said VALIANT ELEGANCE travelled only fairly when positioned further back in the field than had been anticipated. He said after being awkwardly placed close to the heels of INESTIMABLE near the 450 Metres, he shifted VALIANT ELEGANCE to the outside of that horse and VALIANT ELEGANCE then finished off the race only fairly. A veterinary inspection of VALIANT ELEGANCE immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
A veterinary inspection of TRAVEL DATUK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WHISKEY NEAT, WILD WEST WING and SUPER COMMANDER were sent for sampling.

Race:4 (771) BOWEN HANDICAP (Sec1) Class 2 1650 m

THE ROCK shifted out at the start and brushed GLORIOUS ARTIST which in turn shifted out and bumped HOLY HEART.
CALIFORNIA RAD and SOLAR WAI WAI bumped at the start.
SAVAQUIN was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages, THE ROCK was slow to muster speed.
Approaching the 1300 Metres, CALIFORNIA RAD raced tight inside MAGNIFICENT which shifted in before being directed out to relieve the crowding to CALIFORNIA RAD.
Near the 600 Metres, GLORIOUS ARTIST was taken wider by THE ROCK which shifted to the outside of CALIFORNIA RAD.
HIGHLAND FORTUNE was held up for clear running rounding the Home Turn behind SOLAR WAI WAI.
Passing the 300 Metres, HIGHLAND FORTUNE was shifted in away from the heels of SOLAR WAI WAI in an attempt to obtain clear running.
Near the 275 Metres, HIGHLAND FORTUNE brushed the running rail when momentarily racing tight inside SOLAR WAI WAI which shifted in marginally before being directed back out.
Approaching the 250 Metres, CALIFORNIA RAD was directed out away from the heels of GREEN LUCK which after racing tight outside MAGNIFICENT then shifted out away from that horse.
Passing the 200 Metres, C Schofield (THE ROCK) dropped his whip.
A veterinary inspection of THE ROCK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of CALIFORNIA RAD immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, CALIFORNIA RAD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
GREEN LUCK and HIGHLAND FORTUNE were sent for sampling.

Race:5 (772) MIDDLE GAP HANDICAP (Sec2) Class 4 1200 m

BEAUTY CHEERS shifted out at the start and bumped TELECOM CHEETAH.
NOBLE DESIRE began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped TELECOM ROCKET.
BRANDING POWER shifted in at the start and bumped CHIRON which began awkwardly, resulting in BRANDING POWER becoming unbalanced.
GOOD SHOT shifted out at the start and inconvenienced THE ANOMALY which on jumping lifted its front feet off the ground. After this, THE ANOMALY was shifted across behind runners.
From the outside barriers, HAPPY TIME and FLAMING PASSION were shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover.
After travelling a short distance, TELECOM CHEETAH shifted out and bumped TELECOM ROCKET.
Passing the 1100 Metres, BRANDING POWER and TELECOM ROCKET raced tight.
Making the turn near the 1050 Metres, BRANDING POWER stumbled.
Approaching the 900 Metres, FLAMING PASSION commenced to prove very difficult to settle and after the 900 Metres was checked away from the heels of BRANDING POWER. After this, FLAMING PASSION continued to prove very difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions.
Passing the 900 Metres, THE ANOMALY, which was proving very difficult to settle, was checked away from the heels of HAPPY TIME which itself was awkwardly placed behind GOOD SHOT. THE ANOMALY continued to prove difficult to settle and after the 850 Metres got its head up when being severely checked away from the heels of HAPPY TIME.
After the 900 Metres, CHIRON, which was travelling keenly, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of TELECOM ROCKET.
BRANDING POWER got its head on the side and lay out making the turn after the 600 Metres and inconvenienced HAPPY TIME.
Rounding the Home Turn, when improving to the outside of TELECOM CHEETAH, BRANDING POWER (A Badel) shifted out and bumped HAPPY TIME, resulting in BRANDING POWER becoming unbalanced and again stumbling. A Badel reported that after stumbling rounding the Home Turn, his mount came under heavy pressure and did not respond to his riding. He said approaching the 200 Metres as BRANDING POWER was not travelling well, he commenced to steady his mount when racing in restricted room inside HAPPY TIME and TELECOM CHEETAH (T Piccone) which shifted out. T Piccone was reprimanded and told whilst there were some circumstances to this incident, namely the manner in which BRANDING POWER was travelling, nonetheless he was reprimanded and told to ensure that he is properly clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances. A veterinary inspection of BRANDING POWER immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.
M L Yeung (THE ANOMALY) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that approaching and passing the 100 Metres he permitted his mount to shift out when not clear of TELECOM CHEETAH, resulting in that horse being checked away from the heels of THE ANOMALY when unnecessarily crowded for room outside that horse. M L Yeung was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Sunday, 11 July 2021 and to expire on Thursday, 15 July 2021 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards took into account Jockey Yeung’s good race riding record.
Throughout the race, BULLISH BROTHER travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of GOOD SHOT, BULLISH BROTHER and HAPPY TIME immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
NOBLE DESIRE and BEAUTY CHEERS were sent for sampling.

Race:6 (773) ROBINSON HANDICAP (Sec1) Class 4 1650 m

FAST PACE and MOONLUCK bumped at the start. MOONLUCK then lost its right front plate shortly after the start.
From a wide barrier, ERNEST FEELING was shifted across behind runners.
From a wide barrier, OWNERS’ STAR was also shifted across behind runners shortly after the start to obtain cover.
After travelling a short distance, RED IMPACT raced in restricted room between THE MINT and GALACTIC which shifted out.
Near the 1250 Metres, GALACTIC got its head up, shifted out and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of MOONLUCK. After being crossed by MOONLUCK, GALACTIC travelled keenly and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse for a short distance. Then passing the 1000 Metres, GALACTIC again got its head up when awkwardly placed behind MOONLUCK. FAST PACE, which was following GALACTIC, was steadied away from the heels of that horse in consequence.
Near the 550 Metres, OWNERS’ STAR raced close to the heels of GALACTIC when held up for clear running behind that horse.
Passing the 500 Metres, ZHAN JIANG ROCKS was taken wider by FAST PACE which shifted out away from the heels of GALACTIC as that horse also shifted out from behind MOONLUCK.
RED IMPACT was badly held up for clear running from after the 300 Metres until passing the 200 Metres.
Passing the 200 Metres, WON BALL and MOONLUCK bumped.
After the race, M Chadwick stated that MANNA FROM HEAVEN was not able to obtain a forward position when runners to its outside showed more pace than his mount. He said when the pace was strong in the early stages, MANNA FROM HEAVEN did not travel as strongly as it did at its last start when ridden by him. He said although MANNA FROM HEAVEN was able to obtain a good run in the middle stages behind WON BALL, the horse came under heavy pressure at the entrance to the Straight after obtaining clear running behind WON BALL and then after being placed under pressure in the Straight was disappointing in the manner in which it failed to finish off the race as strongly as anticipated. A veterinary inspection of MANNA FROM HEAVEN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
When questioned, K C Leung stated that he had not received any specific instructions on how to ride MAXIMIZE HEART given that the horse was drawn in the outside barrier. He said it was left to him to decide how MAXIMIZE HEART should be ridden which he felt would be dependent on the manner in which the horse began. He said when preparing the form for this evening’s race, he felt that there were a number of runners which would be ridden to obtain a forward position and he anticipated that the race would be run at a good tempo in the early stages and therefore he had hoped that MAXIMIZE HEART may be able to obtain a trailing position in about midfield or just in front of midfield. He said however on jumping ERNEST FEELING shifted out and bumped MAXIMIZE HEART which resulted in his mount becoming unbalanced. He said when this occurred he felt that he would have had to make too much use of MAXIMIZE HEART to then be ridden forward to clear ERNEST FEELING and therefore he elected to steady his mount and obtain a position with cover at the rear of the field.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that OWNERS’ STAR had sustained a minor laceration to the left front pastern.
A veterinary inspection of GALACTIC immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.
A veterinary inspection of MOONLUCK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FA FA and ERNEST FEELING were sent for sampling.

Race:7 (774) CAINE HANDICAP (Sec1) Class 3 1200 m

TELECOM SMART began only fairly.
ALL FOR SOUTH (M F Poon) shifted out at the start and bumped RHAPSODY. ALL FOR SOUTH and RHAPSODY were then crowded for room a short distance after the start inside STANLEY PARK (Apprentice C L Chau) which when being ridden along shifted in. Apprentice Chau was advised to ensure that he makes every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground in similar circumstances. In this incident, ALL FOR SOUTH shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of HONG KONG BET which became unbalanced. After the race, M F Poon reported that it was intended for ALL FOR SOUTH to be ridden in a forward position and lead if possible, however, after being crowded for room on jumping, this resulted in ALL FOR SOUTH racing further back in the field than had been intended.
From the outside barrier, SHOUSON was shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover.
After travelling a short distance, SMART LEADER and JOLLY GOOD HEART bumped.
Near the 1100 Metres, GREEN AEON raced tight inside STANLEY PARK which got its head on the side and lay in despite the efforts of its rider.
Making the turn near the 1050 Metres, ALCARI was awkwardly placed outside the heels of STOICISM when being steadied to obtain cover behind that horse.
Also making the turn near the 1050 Metres, GREEN AEON was steadied away from the heels of STANLEY PARK which, when inclined to lay in, shifted in when being ridden along. Apprentice Chau was reprimanded and told to ensure that he makes every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground in similar circumstances.
After the 700 Metres, STOICISM was left racing wide and without cover.
Near the 550 Metres, GREEN AEON was momentarily crowded for room between RHAPSODY and SMART LEADER which got its head on the side and lay out.
Approaching the 500 Metres, ALCARI was momentarily awkwardly placed behind FAMILY FOLKS.
Rounding the Home Turn, SHOUSON raced tight outside GREEN AEON which got its head on the side and shifted out.
Passing the 150 Metres, TELECOM SMART raced close to the heels of FAMILY FOLKS when being shifted to the outside of that horse to obtain clear running.
A veterinary inspection of STANLEY PARK immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a laceration to the right hind fetlock and to the back of the right front knee.
A veterinary inspection of GREEN AEON and ALL FOR SOUTH immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FAMILY FOLKS, JOLLY GOOD HEART and HONG KONG BET were sent for sampling.

Race:8 (775) KENNEDY HANDICAP (Sec1) Class 3 1650 m

As Apprentice C L Chau was unable to fulfil the engagement on SMILING CITY due to being overweight, A Hamelin was substituted as the rider of that horse. Apprentice Chau was fined the sum of $5,000.
SACRED IBIS was slow to begin.
YOO YOO KING was slow to begin and then lost ground when bumped by KING’S CAPITAL which shifted in.
From wide barriers, HELENE WISDOM STAR and CELESTIAL POWER were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages, TURIN REDSTAR was slow to muster speed.
Passing the winning post on the first occasion, SMILING CITY travelled keenly when being steadied to obtain cover and after passing the winning post on the first occasion was bumped by INDICATIVE VOTE which shifted in. When SMILING CITY was steadied to obtain cover, KING’S CAPITAL was awkwardly placed behind that horse in consequence.
Passing the 1300 Metres, SMILING CITY got its head on the side and shifted out abruptly towards the heels of INDICATIVE VOTE. This resulted in SMILING CITY being awkwardly placed behind WINNING FOR ALL and getting its head up when being checked away from the heels of that horse approaching the 1200 Metres. SMILING CITY then continued to travel keenly and again got its head up when being checked away from the heels of WINNING FOR ALL for some distance approaching and passing the 1100 Metres.
Also passing the 1300 Metres, INDICATIVE VOTE was left racing wide and without cover and near the 900 Metres was ridden along to obtain a more forward position closer to the rail.
Approaching the 600 Metres, SKY SHOW was awkwardly placed close to the heels of INDICATIVE VOTE which shifted in to race outside the lead. When INDICATIVE VOTE shifted in, this resulted in TURIN REDSTAR being left racing wide and without cover.
Near the 650 Metres, WINNING FOR ALL came under pressure and then became badly unbalanced of its own accord and lost ground abruptly. SMILING CITY, which was following WINNING FOR ALL, got its head up when being checked away from the heels of that horse. SMILING CITY was then taken back through the field when WINNING FOR ALL gave ground abruptly. After the race, C Y Ho stated that when WINNING FOR ALL became unbalanced in its action, he felt that something may have gone amiss with the horse and because of this he eased his mount down at about the 500 Metres. A veterinary inspection of WINNING FOR ALL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of WINNING FOR ALL, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, WINNING FOR ALL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. When SMILING CITY was taken back through the field, that horse shifted away from the heels of WINNING FOR ALL near the 550 Metres and bumped HELENE WISDOM STAR.
Passing the 500 Metres, CELESTIAL POWER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SACRED IBIS.
Passing the 300 Metres, EXCEPTIONAL NICE raced tight inside INDICATIVE VOTE which lay in under pressure. After this, INDICATIVE VOTE continued to lay in for the remainder of the race.
Passing the 150 Metres, SACRED IBIS was shifted to the inside of EXCEPTIONAL NICE after being disappointed for running between that horse which shifted out and INDICATIVE VOTE.
Over the concluding stages, SACRED IBIS raced tight inside EXCEPTIONAL NICE (A Badel) which shifted in under pressure. A Badel was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. Due to racing tight inside EXCEPTIONAL NICE, SACRED IBIS was not able to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race.
A veterinary inspection of SMILING CITY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

KING OPIE, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 21.6.21 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (colic). Before being allowed to race again, KING OPIE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
AMAZING NEWS began only fairly.
BIZ POWER and CALIFORNIA CONCORD bumped on jumping.
From the outside barrier, A LA KING was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Passing the 1100 Metres, HAPPY LAND was awkwardly placed outside the heels of DECISIVE TWELVE.
In the early stages, BE READY travelled very wide and without cover and passing the 800 Metres was ridden along for some distance to obtain a more forward position closer to the rail.
A veterinary inspection of CALIFORNIA CONCORD, A LA KING and AMAZING NEWS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HERE COMES TED, CLASSIC POSH and DECISIVE TWELVE were sent for sampling.
