A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a wound to its left hind leg. Before being allowed to race again, MY FLYING ANGEL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
2 2 KING OBERON (H407) H Bowman Bumped at the start. Raced wide and without cover from the 800 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.
11 3 SPICY SO SMART (G203) A Hamelin After the event A Hamelin reported that his mount raced "flat”. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <9/6/2025 Additional Veterinary Report>SPICY SO SMART, which performed disappointingly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. SPICY SO SMART was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer W K Mo this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, SPICY SO SMART will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
9 4 TAIHANG SCENERY (J314) E C W Wong (-7) After being crossed by RUBY SAILING near the 800 Metres commenced to race keenly and got its head up when being steadied away from RUBY SAILING. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
7 5 KA YING POWER (H169) C L Chau (-2) Bumped at the start. In the middle stages raced keenly and approaching the 800 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from MY FLYING ANGEL. Near the 250 Metres rider C L Chau dropped his whip.
12 6 SOLAR UP (J134) M Chadwick Fractious in the starting gates and jumped awkwardly. After the event, M Chadwick reported that his mount failed to run on in the Home Straight and had a tendency to shy out away from the inside. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
3 7 MODEST GENTLEMAN (G352) A Atzeni Near the 900 Metres was steadied when crowded by TAIHANG SCENERY which shifted in and away slightly from RUBY SAILING (Apprentice P N Wong) which shifted in when not clear before being corrected. Apprentice Wong was severely reprimanded and advised she must ensure that she leaves sufficient racing room for runners to her inside. Approaching the 700 Metres was checked to avoid TAIHANG SCENERY. Between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running. Over the final 150 Metres lay out under pressure.

After the event L Hewitson reported that his instructions were to take up a more forward position than its previous starts. He said in the early and middle stages he was obliged to make use of his mount to endeavour to cross BRIGHT DAY and as a result WARRIORS DREAM was forced to race wide and without cover until near the 600 Metres. Trainer D Eustace confirmed the instructions issued.

11 4 GALLANT REX (K243) L Ferraris After the event L Ferraris reported that his instructions were to go forward. He said in the early stages GALLANT REX got its head up when being steadied to allow WONDERSTAR to cross but then in the middle stages hung out making the turns and as a result ran wide. Trainer D A Hayes confirmed the instructions issued. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The racing manners and performance of GALLANT REX, which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GALLANT REX will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

4 6 MIRACLE FIGHTER (K182) Y L Chung (-3) Shortly after the start was crowded when bumped by TEAM TEAM FOLKS which shifted in.

8 8 TEAM TEAM FOLKS (K302) K Teetan Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped. After the event K Teetan reported that his mount, which was having its second race start, raced greenly during the race and would derive benefit from today’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 9 EVERYONE'S GALLOP (K140) M L Yeung Became fractious in the starting gates, resulting in its rider M L Yeung being dislodged. M L Yeung was examined by the Chief Medical Officer and passed fit to fulfil his race riding engagement. Leaving the 500 Metres was steadied when crowded between BRIGHT DAY and MIRACLE FIGHTER (Y L Chung) which shifted to the outside of PERFECTDAY. Y L Chung was advised to exercise more care. After the event, M L Yeung reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during the running of the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer”. The performance of EVERYONE’S GALLOP, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, EVERYONE’S GALLOP will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
5 10 PEJIBAYE (K297) B Avdulla On jumping shifted out and made contact with WARRIORS DREAM. From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

2 1 ONLY U (J037) Z Purton When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight Z Purton stated that in the early part of the Home Straight he was held up for clear running behind POCHETTINO. He said when that runner was not improving into the race he then elected to shift to the outside of ISLAND GOLDEN leaving the 350 Metres with a view to improving between ISLAND GOLDEN and THE CONCENTRATION. He said when that run did not fully develop this resulted in ONLY U being held up for clear running between the 350 Metres and the 200 Metres. He added as a result he then shifted back to the inside of ISLAND GOLDEN and POCHETTINO where he secured clear running near the 150 Metres after which his mount then ran on strongly to the finish. Sent for sampling post-race.
7 2 CASHISCASH (J369) L Hewitson Leaving the 1000 Metres got its head up when being steadied to avoid SKY PROPHET (A Hamelin) which shifted in when not quite clear. A Hamelin was reprimanded. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <9/6/2025 Additional Veterinary Report>CASHISCASH, which performed disappointingly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. CASHISCASH was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D J Whyte this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, CASHISCASH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
13 3 LUCKY GOLD (G112) M L Yeung Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between EVER SMART and SKY PROPHET (A Hamelin) which shifted in after bumping with FIRE BALL. A Hamelin was advised to exercise more care. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
5 4 YOUNG HORIZON (G272) H Bowman Jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between LAPRAS and ISLAND GOLDEN. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages and approaching the 900 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from THE CONCENTRATION.

12 6 MANYTHANKS FOREVER (J065) A Atzeni Shifted out at the start and was bumped. For some distance after the 1000 Metres raced keenly when positioned tight to the inside of POCHETTINO which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 7 POCHETTINO (J149) B Thompson On jumping was crowded between THE CONCENTRATION and MANYTHANKS FOREVER which shifted out. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
3 8 ISLAND GOLDEN (H018) P N Wong (-10) Lay in over the final 200 Metres and proved difficult to ride out.
8 9 MR GOOD VIBES (H180) K Teetan Near the 1150 Metres made contact with the running rail and became unbalanced when it shifted in and away from POCHETTINO. In the Home Straight lay out and after the 200 Metres proved reluctant to improve to the inside of CASHISCASH.
1 10 SKY PROPHET (J095) A Hamelin When questioned A Hamelin stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to take up a forward position. He said when he was caught wide in the early stages he elected to continue to allow SKY PROPHET to go forward and lead to avoid covering additional ground. Trainer C Fownes confirmed the instructions issued. Sent for sampling post-race. <9/6/2025 Additional Veterinary Report>The Veterinary Officer reported that SKY PROPHET was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, SKY PROPHET will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
11 11 EVER SMART (J179) A Badel Jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start was then steadied when crowded between ISLAND GOLDEN and LUCKY GOLD.
14 12 FIRE BALL (D087) C L Chau (-2) Approaching the 250 Metres was steadied when crowded between YOUNG HORIZON which shifted out after securing clear running to the outside of THE CONCENTRATION and EVER SMART (A Badel) which shifted in. A Badel was advised to exercise more care. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

9 1 MATSU VICTOR (H472) M L Yeung Soon after the start shifted out and made contact with HAPPY UNIVERSE. Shortly after then became unbalanced when racing tight between ACE WAR and HAPPY UNIVERSE which shifted in. After the event M L Yeung stated that he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to go forward from a wide barrier and as a result was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
6 2 BRIGHT INHERITANCE (J215) L Ferraris No report.
10 3 TIMES TABLE (J230) J Orman Jumped only fairly. After the event J Orman confirmed that he was instructed to hold a more forward position if possible. He said in the early and middle stages TIMES TABLE was reluctant to improve to the inside of other runners. He said after being held up for clear running near the 400 Metres when being steadied to avoid PEARL OF PANG’S, TIMES TABLE finished the race off only fairly. He added that near the 100 Metres TIMES TABLE again was reluctant to improve between MATSU VICTOR and CALIFORNIA SUN and in this incident made contact with CALIFORNIA SUN when TIMES TABLE shifted out slightly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
2 4 ETALON OR (J273) A Badel On jumping was bumped by BRAVE WITNESS which shifted out. Sent for sampling post-race. <11/6/2025 8 June 2025 Sha Tin Racemeeting – Race 4 (740)> The Stewards tonight questioned A Badel in relation to the tactics he adopted in the middle stages of the event when the winner PING HAI COMET was able to shift out and improve into the race near the 600 Metres. A Badel stated that ETALON OR settled closer than intended and raced keenly during the early and middle stages of the event. He said from the 700 Metres his mount came under pressure and when EVERYONE’S CLASSIC then improved forward and shifted out, he lost the position behind that horse. He added as a result PING HAI COMET was able to shift out near the 600 Metres and he felt at that stage his best option was to follow PING HAI COMET into the race as it was travelling strongly. The Stewards noted the explanation provided by Jockey Badel.
11 5 CALIFORNIA SUN (J129) M Chadwick Leaving the 50 Metres made contact with TIMES TABLE which shifted out. After the event M Chadwick reported that his whip was knocked from his grasp by the whip of K Teetan, the rider of PEARL OF PANG’S, near the 300 Metres. After the event M Chadwick reported that the intention was to hold a more forward position but after his mount jumped only fairly and then shifted in and was eased to avoid ETALON OR, it did not show sufficient pace to do so. He added in the Home Straight CALIFORNIA SUN finished the race off in a one-paced manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

7 7 CARRYON SMILING (J392) K De Melo When questioned regarding his riding from the 600 Metres and if there was an opportunity to improve to the outside of BRAVE WITNESS, K De Melo stated that he was given no specific instructions other than to settle where comfortable and give the horse a chance to run on in the Home Straight. He said after following BRAVE WITNESS from the 600 Metres he was reluctant to improve to that runner’s outside as he felt it was too soon to do so as CARRYON SMILING races best when held up for a late run in the Home Straight. He added that when BRIGHT INHERITANCE improved to his outside near the 500 Metres this then resulted in CARRYON SMILING being held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 400 Metres. He said after the 400 Metres he then looked to improve to the inside of EVERYONE’S CLASSIC but when CARRYON SMILING did not respond to his riding and EVERYONE’S CLASSIC shifted in near the 300 Metres he was then obliged to ease and shift to the outside of EVERYONE’S CLASSIC to continue into clear running. After considering his evidence Jockey De Melo agreed with the Stewards that in retrospect he should have shifted to the outside of BRAVE WITNESS approaching the 500 Metres to provide his mount with a clear opportunity to improve into the race sooner than he was able to.

Before being allowed to race again, ACE WAR will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

13 1 DANCING CLASSICS (J060) H Bowman Leaving the 600 Metres BINGO BABE (K Teetan) improved into a run between HAPPY ACTION and AMAZING FUN where there was doubtful room. A short distance later HAPPY ACTION (B Thompson), which was having its first race start, lay out, resulting in BINGO BABE being taken out onto AMAZING FUN and causing DANCING CLASSICS to be severely checked when crowded by AMAZING FUN. K Teetan was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he improves into runs where there is sufficient room to do so. B Thompson was also reprimanded and advised in similar circumstances he would be expected to make a greater effort to straighten his mounts than what he did on this occasion. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a laceration to the right front cannon. Sent for sampling post-race.

3 5 LAHORE (K043) Z Purton On jumping was bumped by BLUE BARON which shifted in, resulting in LAHORE becoming unbalanced.
12 6 HAPPY ACTION (K399) B Thompson In the middle stages lay out, resulting in its rider B Thompson having to correct his mount on a number of occasions. Near the 150 Metres was steadied when positioned close to THE ALL ROUNDER. Over the concluding stages, when placed under pressure, then lay out and was steadied when positioned close to THE ALL ROUNDER.

9 14 BINGO BABE (K115) K Teetan Apprentice P N Wong (CHEVAL VALIANT) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that shortly after the start she allowed her mount to shift out when not clear of BINGO BABE, resulting in BINGO BABE having to be severely checked to avoid CHEVAL VALIANT. Apprentice Wong was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Saturday, 28 June 2025 and to expire on Sunday, 6 July 2025 on which day she may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong racedays – as she is not eligible to ride at Happy Valley). In addition, Apprentice Wong was fined the sum of $15,000. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered her poor race riding record. Leaving the 600 Metres improved into a run when there was not quite sufficient room to do so and as a result was crowded shortly after when HAPPY ACTION shifted out. Near the 500 Metres BINGO BABE was crowded by HAPPY ACTION which again shifted out. As a result BINGO BABE could not be fully tested between the 500 Metres and the 300 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, TOP PEAK will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

12 8 GO GENERAL (H330) A Hamelin A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, GO GENERAL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

5 10 QUICK CONTRIBUTION (K112) H Bowman Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between TOP PEAK and COSMO NAVIGATOR, both of which shifted ground.
9 11 RATTAN GALAXY (K143) P N Wong (-10) Slow to begin. Near the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid COSMO NAVIGATOR, resulting in RATTAN GALAXY shifting out and making contact with SPIRIT OF PEACE. Leaving the 250 Metres was bumped and taken wider when COSMO NAVIGATOR (H T Mo) shifted out. H T Mo was advised to exercise more care.
2 12 COLOURFUL WINNER (J312) M L Yeung Near the 900 Metres was eased to avoid ENJOY GOLF (Apprentice E C W Wong) when that runner shifted in when not quite clear. A short distance later COLOURFUL WINNER was then checked to avoid ENJOY GOLF when Apprentice Wong eased the pace. Apprentice Wong was reprimanded and advised he must be sufficiently clear when shifting ground and not to reduce the pace too quickly once he obtains the lead. Sent for sampling post-race.
14 13 DRALA (J376) K De Melo Near the 250 Metres was steadied when crowded by RATTAN GALAXY (Apprentice P N Wong) which shifted out. Apprentice Wong was advised to exercise more care. After the event K De Melo reported that his mount gave ground noticeably in the Home Straight and was noted to have its tongue over the bit on return to the scale. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of DRALA, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, DRALA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
11 14 COSMO NAVIGATOR (H156) H T Mo (-2) Jumped awkwardly. Leaving the 1000 Metres was steadied when momentarily crowded by MAX QUE which shifted in before being corrected by its rider.

He said in the early stages when positioned to the outside of DROMBEG BANNER he had initially expected that horse to go forward and cross DANCING CODE. He said when DROMBEG BANNER did not continue forward he then commenced to urge his mount forward with a view to crossing DROMBEG BANNER. He added as he did so DROMBEG BANNER was then ridden forward near the 900 Metres and as a consequence HEALTHY HAPPY was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Leaving the 1100 Metres SUPER UNICORN shifted in and away abruptly from BRILLIANT EXPRESS and was quickly corrected by its rider M Chadwick. As a result VIEW OF THE WORLD then shifted in and away from SUPER UNICORN as VIEW OF THE VIEW was also being corrected by its rider C L Chau, resulting in THE ABSOLUTE then being badly crowded for room by VIEW OF THE WORLD and having to be checked and THE ABSOLUTE then shifting in, badly crowding NUCLEOZOR which was severely checked when it lost its running. As the Stewards were satisfied that both M Chadwick and C L Chau had made their best endeavours to prevent their mounts from shifting in no action was taken. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
1 4 SUPERB KID (H298) L Ferraris Bumped shortly after the start. Near the 300 Metres was shifted to the outside of TOP GUN to obtain clear running and as a result made contact with SUPER UNICORN, resulting in SUPERB KID becoming slightly unbalanced. Sent for sampling post-race.

13 6 DRAGON JOY (J278) J Orman Near the 600 Metres shifted in and made contact with FLYING KNIGHT when racing tight to the inside of BRILLIANT EXPRESS. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, DRAGON JOY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

After the event Z Purton stated that his mount jumped only fairly and settled further back in the field than anticipated. He added whilst LA FORZA experienced some difficulty obtaining clear running towards the finish of the event it finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

5 14 FUN ELITE (J042) H Bentley Leaving the 400 Metres MAGIC HALLOW lay out, resulting in FUN ELITE racing tight between METRO POWER and MAGIC HALLOW. Then near the 350 Metres FUN ELITE was crowded for room for some distance between MAGIC HALLOW which continued to lay out despite the efforts of its rider and METRO POWER (B Thompson) which shifted to the inside of PARENTS’ LOVE to obtain clear running. B Thompson was severely reprimanded and advised he must ensure he leaves sufficient racing room for other runners when shifting ground.

Approaching the turn near the 900 Metres LITTLE PARADISE, which was racing keenly, got its head up when being steadied to avoid ANOTHER ZONDA, resulting in LITTLE PARADISE shifting out and being steadied to avoid SOLID IMPACT. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

After the running of Race 1, the track classification was officially changed from "Good” to "Good to Firm”. This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.
