Racing Incident Report

NEW DYNASTY jumped very awkwardly with its head up, then in the early stages continued to race ungenerously, throwing its head about and was awkward just inside the hindquarters of PREMIER TREASURE. In the early stages, GENIUS proved difficult to settle. In the early part of the Straight, HANDOVER was steadied and shifted out to go forward, then near the 200 Metres was steadied when disappointed for running between RED DEVIL and MONARDS. Also in the early part of the Straight, SCENIC STAR hung in. K S Yu (PREMIER TREASURE) said on jumping he steadied when crowded between PERFECT VICTORY and LASER PRIDE and after that in his opinion the horse was not properly balanced, was reluctant to stretch out and for these reasons he took it to the outside to ensure the horse had clear running in the hope that it would stride out. He went on to say however at no stage did PREMIER TREASURE travel as it should. The performance of PREMIER TREASURE was considered by the Stewards in the circumstances to be unacceptable. Before the horse can race again, it will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend.
