Racing Incident Report

Whilst being led from the assembly area to the saddling stalls, ABLE WIN broke away from its attendant. However, the horse was quickly caught. On arriving at the saddling stalls, ABLE WIN was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. He said the horse had sustained mild abrasions to its off side hip. He discussed the matter with the Trainer, Mr J Moore, and it was decided at that time ABLE WIN was suitable to race. After arriving at the barriers, at the request of the Senior Veterinary Surgeon, ABLE WIN was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon behind the gates and no abnormalities were detected. He discussed the horse's condition with the Jockey and it was decided that ABLE WIN was suitable to race. Also after arriving at the barriers, the tongue tie fitted to NOBLE CHARGE was inspected at the request of the rider. No irregularities were detected. SMILEY WIN missed the start. NOBLE CHARGE was a little slowly away. BOLD VICTORY jumped awkwardly. Just after the start, TOP FIT was crowded for room between MILLENNIUM SPIRIT and LIGHT PRINT (K H Ting) which shifted in. K H Ting was reminded of his obligation in relation to the Marker Pole Regulation. In the early and middle stages, UNIVERSAL GLORY proved very difficult to settle. About the 900 Metres, SIGHT FIRST and UNIVERSAL GLORY bumped. Near the 800 Metres, BOLD VICTORY brushed the running rail. In the middle stages, when somewhat awkwardly placed, BUCK'S FIZZ proved difficult to settle and threw its head about. Near the winning post, JUST ON shifted out, made contact with CHIU CHOW BOY. NOBLE CHARGE was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
