Racing Incident Report

EXPLOSIVE POWER jumped awkwardly, shifted out, made contact with KOWLOON JAZZ. TOP PRACTITIONER was slowly away. From a difficult gate, EMPIRE COURT was ridden along early to go forward, was caught wide and obliged to race wide throughout and without any cover, then in the early part of the Straight when giving ground was severely checked when crowded between SPECTACULAR TALK and LEGEND'S GLORY which was taken out by EXPLOSIVE POWER which shifted abruptly to the outside of ME FIRST. Just after the start, INDIAN TAIPAN was severely checked when crowded between SPECTACULAR TALK and ME FIRST which was taken out by BOLD VICTORY which in turn shifted ground from MILLENNIUM LEGEND which on leaving the gates got its head up and shifted out. In the opinion of the Stewards, the occurrence was accidental. After the winning post the first time, SPLENDID BO BO was steadied when momentarily crowded by ABLE WIN. Rounding the turn near the 1200 Metres, BOLD VICTORY hung out. About the 800 Metres, TOP PRACTITIONER became unbalanced when tightened for room between TEAM TONIC and SPLENDID BO BO. Near the winning post, TOP PRACTITIONER and SPLENDID BO BO came together. LEGEND'S GLORY and EMPIRE COURT were sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, it was reported that LEGEND'S GLORY had lost its near side front plate.
