Racing Incident Report

CHINA LEGEND jumped awkwardly and bumped the inside of its gate. On jumping, KOWLOON JAZZ shifted in and bumped the shoulder of PROFIT TREASURE. About the 1200 Metres, LITTLE PLAYTHING and KEWINS were awkward between SPOT ON and HONEST DRAGON which momentarily shifted out. After the 1000 Metres, ALWAYS ON was steadied when awkwardly placed between the hindquarters of CHINA LEGEND and KEWINS. Near the 600 Metres, OBRIGADO, which was not travelling well, became unbalanced when crowded between BORN TO WIN and LITTLE PLAYTHING. CHINA LEGEND, which was following, was hampered in consequence and shifted out abruptly to avoid OBRIGADO, this inconvenienced KEWINS and obliged that horse to race wider. About the 400 Metres, KOWLOON JAZZ shifted out, this caused some inconvenience to LUCKY CHARM and to a lesser extent KASHMAC which was outside LUCKY CHARM. Near the winning post, ALWAYS ON shifted in towards CHINA LEGEND. As a consequence of this, CHINA LEGEND became unbalanced, changed legs and was not ridden out right to the winning post, but still maintained 3rd position. Before Weighed-In was semaphored, Mr J Moore, Trainer of CHINA LEGEND, and A Marcus, rider, sought permission to view the available films as they considered there may have been grounds to lodge an objection against ALWAYS ON being declared the winner. After viewing all the available films, however, they were of the opinion it was inappropriate to proceed with an objection on this occasion. Weighed-In was then semaphored.
