Racing Incident Report
ELITE was ridden along to try and find a position early, was unable to do so, then raced wide, started to give ground near the 800 Metres and tailed off. The performance of ELITE was considered unacceptable. Before racing again, ELITE will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Near the winning post the first time, STAR DRAGON was steadied to avoid PO ON POWER which itself steadied when EMPHASIS crossed and took up a position in front on the rail. For a short distance near the 600 Metres, STAR DRAGON was awkward behind PO ON POWER and tight inside TELECOM TWIN, then just on straightening, STAR DRAGON was awkward on the hindquarters of TELECOM TWIN. In the Straight, TELECOM TWIN hung in and proved a little difficult to ride out. TELECOM TWIN was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
