Racing Incident Report
The start was considerably delayed as LUCKY STALLION was difficult to load into a stall. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY STALLION will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. ALL WIN left the gates awkwardly with its head up and just after leaving the gates was bumped by EXULTATION which on jumping shifted in. Because of this bump, ALL WIN was carried onto the heels of WASABI and checked rather severely. The occurrence was accidental. STOIC jumped with its head in the air, was then steadied from an outside gate across behind the field to take up a position at the rear but closer to the rail. In the middle stages, ACROBATIC was awkward when placed close to the heels of MY HEART. On the turn, ACROBATIC shifted out and made contact with STOIC. For some distance near the 300 Metres, CHIU CHOW BROTHER was held up for running. Near the 200 Metres, CHIU CHOW BROTHER was shifted out to improve between REBEL LEADER and DESERT STORM. About the 100 Metres, ACROBATIC was severely checked and EQUIKIT checked when crowded between STOIC (Apprentice K C Tsang) which shifted in and DESERT STORM (D Whyte) which shifted out as CHIU CHOW BROTHER went forward and also shifted out slightly. Apprentice K C Tsang was reprimanded and told he should have stopped riding and straightened much sooner than he did today. D Whyte was told whilst the Stewards acknowledged CHIU CHOW BROTHER shifted out, they would not agree that it had a significant bearing on his shift and also in similar circumstances he should make a greater effort to protect his fellow riders from this type of crowding. After the race, it was noted that ACROBATIC had lost its near side hind plate. DANEFACTOR was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
