Racing Incident Report
On the way to the Start, LOVE ON EARTH made contact with the rail. After arriving at the gates, LOVE ON EARTH was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and after the necessary consultation the Veterinary Surgeon said in his opinion the horse was suitable to race. BOLD'N POWER left the gates very awkwardly, shaking its head about, shifted out and lost a lot of ground. On jumping, APRIL HARE bounded in the air, then raced greenly, particularly in the early stages. Near the 500 Metres, INSPIRED brushed the running rail. Just after INSPIRED brushed the running rail near the 500 Metres, it shifted out, this caused some inconvenience to SPEED WIN. About the 300 Metres, WINNING MASCOT was taken onto the heels of CAPITAL STAR and became badly unbalanced. It was established that in the run up to this point SPEED WIN (W M Lai) was improving between INSPIRED and WINNING MASCOT. On the turn, INSPIRED shifted out slightly, made contact with SPEED WIN which then shifted ground and carried WINNING MASCOT out. In the circumstances, it was decided no action was taken, but W M Lai was told to ensure he has sufficient racing room at all times when improving and he should compete with the welfare of his fellow riders in mind at all times. When WINNING MASCOT was inconvenienced near the 300 Metres, some inconvenience was caused to LOVE ON EARTH.
