Racing Incident Report
The explanation given by S Dye (BILLION DELIGHT) regarding his being late in the Parade Ring was accepted. After being boxed, A CANDY became fractious, reared, then got down. Whilst cast, A CANDY kicked out, making contact with HERO'S WAY. On veterinary advice, both A CANDY and HERO'S WAY were withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, A CANDY will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. On leaving the gates, THE GREATEST, from an outside gate, was steadied to take up a position closer to the rail but towards the rear. When the gates opened, BELLAGIO bounded in the air, then just after the start bumped with ABLE WIN. About 100 Metres out, S Dye stopped riding and straightened as the horse was shifting out towards ARROGANCE.
