Racing Incident Report

Apprentice K K Lai (WILFUL FLIGHT) was severely reprimanded for initially entering the incorrect stall. GOOD BROTHER began very awkwardly and lost considerable ground. At the 900 Metres, ROYAL TREASURE was checked when crowded for room between STRAIGHT WIN which shifted in slightly and SING A SONG which shifted out after bumping with WILFUL FLIGHT. Shortly after this, WILFUL FLIGHT and SING A SONG bumped on several occasions, causing both horses to become unbalanced. At the 800 Metres, SING A SONG was checked and WILFUL FLIGHT crowded for room when racing between WINNING PLEASURE which shifted out whilst hanging and STRAIGHT WIN (E Legrix) which shifted in when barely clear. In the circumstances, it was decided it would be inappropriate to proceed with action against any rider or riders, however, E Legrix was severely reprimanded and advised he is to ensure he is clear of other runners at all times when shifting ground. On straightening, GREAT DRAGON was crowded for room between POPULAR CHOICE and ROYAL TREASURE which shifted ground while hanging in. WINNING PLEASURE hung out throughout and in the Straight proved difficult to ride out. Approaching the winning post, STRAIGHT WIN, which was giving ground, shifted out when brushed by TOP DANCER, which itself shifted to the outside of ANABATIK to continue going forward. SING A SONG was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
