Racing Incident Report

BOND was slowly away. On jumping, SNIPPETYIYEA dipped. From about the 700 Metres until straightening, SNIPPETYIYEA hung out, this caused some inconvenience to CHIEF IVOR. About the 700 Metres, DANZIGFIRE, which was racing ungenerously, got its head up and hung out across the heels of HERO'S WAY. The occurrence was accidental. CHIEF IVOR was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. After the race, an endoscopic examination of CHIEF IVOR revealed there was a significant amount of blood in the trachea. FLYING GENERAL and DEVON ELITE were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer said HANDBAG DRAGON in his opinion had a restricted action in its front legs as a result of some stiffness, the horse however was not lame.
