Racing Incident Report

After being boxed, HEALTHY HEART and INEX EXCELLENCE became fractious and THOUSANDS VICTORY became fractious and got its left hind leg caught on the side partition of its stall. All three horses were removed from their respective gates, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said HEALTHY HEART was suitable to race, INEX EXCELLENCE was suitable to race despite having a small laceration to its gum and THOUSANDS VICTORY was not suitable to race as it was lame in the left hind leg. Acting on this advice, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of THOUSANDS VICTORY. When being repositioned in the barrier, HEALTHY HEART proved difficult to load. Before THOUSANDS VICTORY can race again, it will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Before HEALTHY HEART can race again, it will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. RED FIREBALL was slow to begin. INEX EXCELLENCE and ALWAYS WELCOME began awkwardly. On jumping, SHINING DRAGON shifted out, then hung out throughout the race. SUPER IDEAL, which was standing awkwardly, was a little slow to begin. Throughout the race, SWISS LAD hung out and near the winning post shifted ground, causing some inconvenience to SUPER IDEAL. For the major part of the race, NAMJONG TREASURE hung in. C Williams (ALWAYS WELCOME) was fined $3,000 for improper use of the whip in that he raised marks on the right flank of the horse. SWISS LAD, ALWAYS WELCOME and MANAU were sent for sampling.
