Racing Incident Report

NAMJONG TREASURE, which was standing badly, began awkwardly. ELETTARIN, DYNAMIC COMBO and TRICK OR TREAT were slow to begin. Over the final 100 Metres, DYNAMIC COMBO hung in. This caused slight inconvenience to SUPERSONIC near the 50 Metres. Throughout the race, DOLPHIN STAR hung out, near the 500 Metres shifted ground and because of this ELETTARIN changed course to its inside. K S Yu (DOLPHIN STAR) was reminded of his obligation to ride all his mounts out at least hands and heels to the end of the race whenever possible. D Beasley (LUCKYHEART) said the horse began fairly, immediately wanted to hang out, but was able to race alongside other runners. He said near the 500 Metres LUCKYHEART shifted out quite abruptly and because of this he had to stop riding in an endeavour to straighten. He said after straightening he again rode LUCKYHEART along, however, the horse did not respond to his riding and in his opinion raced in a manner which showed its lack of experience. LUCKYHEART was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, LUCKYHEART was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a significant amount of mucus in the horse's trachea. The performance of LUCKYHEART was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKYHEART must perform competitively in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. NOBLE ZOOM was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, NOBLE ZOOM was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a mild inflammation of the horse's throat. Before being permitted to race again, NOBLE ZOOM will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. NAMJONG TREASURE and DYNAMIC COMBO were sent for sampling.
