Racing Incident Report

SCINTILLATION and DAVE'S BEST were slow to begin. Shortly after the start, GIVE ME FIVE, which had been a little slow to begin, was bumped on the shoulder by the hindquarters of THE WORLD OF LOVE. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, SUPER CHARGE became unbalanced and lost ground. At the 600 Metres, GIVE ME FIVE was steadied when crowded for room between SCINTILLATION and DAVE'S BEST which shifted out slightly. Over the final 200 Metres, ALWAYS WELCOME hung out and near the 100 Metres shifted ground, causing FOUR ACES to be carried wider which in turn resulted in THE WORLD OF LOVE being momentarily steadied and shifted in. D Whyte (SOUNDS BETTER) said at no stage of the race did the horse handle the soft track conditions. He said throughout the race SOUNDS BETTER did not travel comfortably and making the Home Turn got its head up and hung out. FLYING KENNY, DAVE'S BEST and SUPER CHARGE were sent for sampling.
