Racing Incident Report
After arriving at the start, GOOD BOY, which had made contact with a rail in the Parade Ring, was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. The horse was trotted up and after the necessary consultations was considered suitable to race. ETERNAL FUN began very awkwardly, got its head up and lost a significant amount of ground at the start. QUICK STEP was a little slow to begin. At about the 1300 Metres, SIXTY SECONDS brushed the running rail. In the middle stages, EL VIENTO proved difficult to settle and after the 400 Metres was disappointed for running between ETERNAL FUN and RICARDO which shifted out slightly. After the 200 Metres, RICARDO was momentarily steadied when endeavouring to improve into a tight run between TABBRIS and GOODWOOD. SIXTY SECONDS, which was racing to the inside of RICARDO, was also steadied at this time when unable to improve between that horse and TABBRIS which was giving ground. An inquiry into the running and riding of GOOD BOY was adjourned to a date to be fixed. GOOD BOY was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. After the race, GOOD BOY was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No significant findings were made. LASER GLORY was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. A veterinary examination of LASER GLORY after the race did not reveal any significant abnormalities. RICARDO and PRINCE GOLF were sent for sampling.
