Racing Incident Report

BEAMING RIVER began very awkwardly, got its head up and lost a significant amount of ground at the start. On jumping, ACCLAMATION was bumped by THE FACULTY which shifted in. Also on jumping, KNIGHT TEMPLAR shifted out abruptly. This caused inconvenience to MULTI RANSOM which was bumped and carried wider. BARFOLD HERO was slow to begin and shortly afterwards was steadied away from the heels of ON SHAN EXPRESS. At the 1300 Metres, BARFOLD HERO was shifted out when close to the heels of ON SHAN EXPRESS. After the 1100 Metres, ACE OF PACE was steadied to avoid the heels of TIRAMISU which shifted in when barely clear. KNIGHT TEMPLAR, which was following, was steadied and shifted out to avoid the heels of ACE OF PACE. Making the turn at the 1000 Metres, ACCLAMATION was awkwardly placed close to the heels of COSMO SUCCESS. Also at the 1000 Metres, TELECOM BABE was momentarily tightened for room inside ON SHAN EXPRESS. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, TELECOM BABE lost its position inside ON SHAN EXPRESS which was racing tight inside BARFOLD HERO which improved into a narrow run on the inside of KNIGHT TEMPLAR which was commencing to give ground. Near the 400 Metres, BARFOLD HERO was steadied and shifted to the outside of the heels of ACE OF PACE. D Dunn (ON SHAN EXPRESS) said the intention had been to ride the horse in the first three tonight. He said ON SHAN EXPRESS began only fairly, he then immediately rode it along, however, the horse failed to muster speed and as a result got much further back than was intended. COSMO SUCCESS and ACCLAMATION were sent for sampling.
