Racing Incident Report

ONE STEP AHEAD began awkwardly, lost ground and shortly afterwards was steadied away from the heels of GOLDEN CARE which shifted in. OUR CLASS, despite being hard ridden in the early stages, was slow to muster speed. VENGEANCE OF RAIN was a little slow to begin and making the Home Turn and in the Straight hung out. After the 1000 Metres, COP HILL LAD and OUR CLASS were crowded for room inside STARDANE which momentarily shifted in. At the 800 Metres, OUR CLASS was steadied away from the heels of STARDANE which shifted in when barely clear, then making the Home Turn hung out. For some distance after the 400 Metres, TRIPLE EXPRESSO was awkwardly placed close to the heels of COUNTRY MUSIC. After the 100 Metres, COUNTRY MUSIC and STARDANE came together as a result of both horses shifting ground. In the Straight, ONE STEP AHEAD hung in and proved difficult to ride. Throughout the race, STARDANE raced wide and without cover. OUR CLASS was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of OUR CLASS after the race did not show any significant findings. ALWAYS WELCOME and COUNTRY MUSIC were sent for sampling.
