Racing Incident Report
ESPRIT D'OR was slow to begin. FAVOURITE EXPRESS was slow to begin and shortly afterwards was checked when crowded for room between SPINNING CITY which shifted out and SUPER FANTASY which shifted in after being bumped by ASIA RISING which in turn was carried in by CHAMP DRAGON. No action was taken. In the early stages, SPINNING CITY proved difficult to settle. Near the 1100 Metres, DR WELL, GREEN TREASURE, GREAT ACHIEVEMENT and TIRAMISU were momentarily crowded for room inside SUPER FANTASY which when proving difficult to settle itself was momentarily crowded for room inside SHINING DRAGON. SPINNING CITY, which was following TIRAMISU, was steadied in consequence. Near the 1000 Metres, DR WELL and GREEN TREASURE were crowded for room inside GREAT ACHIEVEMENT which at this time shifted in slightly away from LUCKY LAD. Making the turn at the 900 Metres, GREEN TREASURE was severely checked when crowded for room between DR WELL which shifted out and GREAT ACHIEVEMENT which shifted in abruptly after being bumped by LUCKY LAD. When GREEN TREASURE checked, it caused inconvenience to TIRAMISU which was carried out and in turn carried SUPER FANTASY onto the heels of SHINING DRAGON, resulting in SUPER FANTASY clipping the heels of SHINING DRAGON and blundering. Inconvenience was also caused at this time to SPINNING CITY and PEAK POWER. Because of the significant number of contributing factors to these incidents between the 1100 Metres and the 900 Metres, no action was taken against any one rider, however, all riders involved were advised that in the opinion of the Stewards these incidents arose out of overly tight racing and they should wherever possible allow other runners around them comfortable racing room. Near the 600 Metres, ASIA RISING was steadied away from the heels of TIRAMISU. Near the 300 Metres, PEAK POWER was steadied and shifted to the inside of DR WELL to obtain clear running. GREAT ACHIEVEMENT was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. A veterinary examination of GREAT ACHIEVEMENT after the race did not show any significant findings. GREEN TREASURE, LUCKY LAD and FAVOURITE EXPRESS were sent for sampling.
