Racing Incident Report

MAXIMUM JOY was slow to begin. WONDERFUL BOY began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped SPEEDY EXPRESS. BIG WINNER began awkwardly. SOUTH CHINA NINETY was slow to begin and then shortly afterwards was steadied away from the heels of A-TACK which on jumping shifted out. Near the 900 Metres, MOUNTAIN TREASURE lost ground when being steadied to avoid the heels of SEA TREASURE which gave ground while laying in. Also near the 900 Metres, SPEEDY EXPRESS was steadied when crowded for room between DANSERT MAESTRO which after being slow to begin had been hard ridden to make up ground and WONDERFUL BOY which shifted in slightly. No action was taken. Making the turn after the 700 Metres, A-TACK hung out. Near the 400 Metres, A-TACK was carried wider by STAR OF NORTHERN which shifted out. In the Straight, WONDERFUL BOY hung in. DANSERT MAESTRO was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of DANSERT MAESTRO after the race did not show any significant findings. JOYFUL MASTER and GOLDEN DRAGON were sent for sampling.
Additional Veterinary Reports (released on 10 January 2005)
DANSERT MAESTRO, which performed poorly, was examined by the Senior Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. DANSERT MAESTRO was again examined by the Head of Veterinary Regulation & International Liaison at the stables of Trainer A T Millard yesterday morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in the right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, DANSERT MAESTRO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
