Racing Incident Report

SCINTILLATION and COUNTRY MUSIC were slow to begin. SPECIAL KING PRAWN made the Home Turn awkwardly. Prior to straightening, PLANET RULER was steadied when crowded for room between MULTIDANDY and TIBER (M Rodd) which at this time was shifting to the outside of FIGURES. M Rodd was severely reprimanded and told he would be expected to exercise greater care. Near the 200 Metres, SCINTILLATION was steadied and shifted out to obtain clear running after being unable to improve between ABLE PRINCE and NATURAL BLITZ. In the Straight, GEM OF INDIA hung in. COUNTRY MUSIC was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, COUNTRY MUSIC was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse was lame in the right hind leg and had also sustained an abrasion to the coronet of that leg. Before being allowed to race again, COUNTRY MUSIC will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SILENT WITNESS and TIBER were sent for sampling. Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported TIBER had sustained a laceration to the left hind pastern.
