Racing Incident Report
NOBLE CRUSADER began awkwardly, bumped the outside gate of its stall and then made contact with KINDACROSS. COUNTRY MUSIC, which was standing with its head turned to the left, was slow to begin. PLANET RULER and ABSOLUTE CHAMPION were slow to begin. Shortly after the start, COUNTRY MUSIC was steadied when crowded for room between ABLE PRINCE which shifted out and NOBLE CRUSADER which was carried in by KINDACROSS. After the 400 Metres, SCINTILLATION got its head on the side and hung in for a short distance. After passing the winning post, ABSOLUTE CHAMPION bumped the outside running rail and dislodged Y T Cheng, its rider. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported ABSOLUTE CHAMPION was lame in the left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, ABSOLUTE CHAMPION will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. D Whyte (ABLE PRINCE) said the horse did not travel comfortably at any stage of the race. He said after the 200 Metres ABLE PRINCE appeared to become unbalanced in its action, because of this he stopped riding momentarily. NATURAL BLITZ was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, NATURAL BLITZ was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucopus in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, NATURAL BLITZ will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. NOBLE CRUSADER, BILLET EXPRESS and SCINTILLATION were sent for sampling.
