Racing Incident Report

NATURAL FATCHOY was slow to begin. O DANNY BOY began awkwardly and shortly after the start bumped with AMO. Shortly after the start, MY BROTHER was steadied when crowded for room between LUCKY WINNER and DASHING CHAMPION, both of which shifted ground slightly. Near the 900 Metres, when being steadied off the heels of SPEED FIGHTER, BULLDOZER shifted out and bumped O DANNY BOY. At the 800 Metres, NATURAL FATCHOY commenced to over-race, shifted in and was steadied away from the heels of MY BROTHER. NATURAL FATCHOY then shifted out and was steadied away from the heels of BULLDOZER which itself was shifting in to obtain cover behind DASHING CHAMPION. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, MY BROTHER was checked when crowded for room by DASHING CHAMPION which got its head on the side and shifted in despite the efforts of its rider. No action was taken. Also making the turn at the 600 Metres, BULLDOZER was checked after improving between DASHING CHAMPION and O DANNY BOY where there was insufficient room. Shortly after this, BULLDOZER got its head up and was checked out across the heels of SPEED FIGHTER. NATURAL FATCHOY, which was following was hampered in consequence. At the 200 Metres, E Saint-Martin (O DANNY BOY) dropped his whip. Near the 150 Metres, AMO was checked when disappointed for running between GANBARIA which was weakening and BULLDOZER. In this incident, AMO shifted out and bumped BULLDOZER, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. Over the concluding stages, BRILLIANT ONE raced tight inside MY BROTHER which shifted in. For the majority of the race, LUCKY DANSKE travelled wide and without cover. D Whyte (BULLDOZER) said the horse after beginning only fairly then obtained a position behind SPEED FIGHTER in the early stages. He added when that horse did not appear to be travelling well, he shifted in to a position behind DASHING CHAMPION and despite suffering interference at the 600 Metres he believed BULLDOZER was disappointing in that it failed to run on when placed under pressure in the Straight. BULLDOZER was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. A veterinary inspection of BULLDOZER after the race did not show any significant findings. DASHING CHAMPION and LUCKY WINNER were sent for sampling.
