Racing Incident Report

JOY AND TREASURE was a little slow to begin, then lost further ground when bumped by SUPER SPECIAL which began awkwardly, got its head up and shifted in. JOY AND TREASURE then travelled wide and without cover throughout. NAMJONG GOODLUCK began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped SERIOUS PLAY. Shortly after the start, ACCELERATION was checked when crowded for room between FLORAL ARTS and SERIOUS PLAY which shifted out. With the intention of being ridden away from the rail despite having drawn barrier 1, DENDRANTHEMA LOVE was shifted out after the 1200 Metres. For a considerable distance after straightening, DENDRANTHEMA LOVE was steadied to shift to the outside to obtain clear running. In the Straight, DANSING FUN hung in. SUPER SPECIAL was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, SUPER SPECIAL, which tailed out, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed the horse to have nasal discharge and a substantial amount of mucopus in its trachea. The performance of SUPER SPECIAL was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER SPECIAL will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. MIRACULOUS and FLORAL ARTS were sent for sampling.
