Racing Incident Report

A BETTER DRAGON, which was standing with its head turned to the left, began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped LEADER. DENDRANTHEMA LOVE was slow to begin. In the early stages, LEADER hung in, near the 1500 Metres shifted ground, causing some inconvenience to A BETTER DRAGON and NEW TAMAR. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, A BETTER DRAGON was steadied away from the heels of DANRIVA. Making the first turn, DANRIVA hung out. After the 1000 Metres, STAR PRODIGY was steadied away from the heels of A BETTER DRAGON which itself was steadied away from the heels of DANRIVA. As a consequence, STAR PRODIGY shifted out to a three wide position. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, LA MERVEILLE and A BETTER DRAGON raced tight. From on straightening until after the 200 Metres, NEW TAMAR was held up and unable to obtain clear running. At the 200 Metres, DENDRANTHEMA LOVE, which was being shifted out to obtain clear running, was steadied away from the heels of SPARKLE which itself was momentarily steadied when crowded for room between DONGGUAN VICTORY and A BETTER DRAGON which at this time shifted out. For some distance approaching and passing the 100 Metres, KOWLOON TREASURE was steadied away from the heels of LEADER which was giving ground. Near the winning post, O Doleuze (STAR PRODIGY) dropped his left rein. Throughout the race, LEADER travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. LA MERVEILLE was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. LEADER was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of LA MERVEILLE and LEADER after the race did not show any significant findings. STAR PRODIGY and DONGGUAN VICTORY were sent for sampling.
