Racing Incident Report

While in the holding stalls, CANNONISE had its right hind plate refitted. CANNONISE was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. After arriving at the Start, the tongue tie fitted to DIAMOND BRILLIANCE was refitted. WATCH WHAT HAPPENS began awkwardly and lost ground. MY TIME, which was standing with its head turned to the left as the start was effected, began awkwardly and lost ground. In the early stages, HONGKONG SUPERSTAR proved difficult to settle. After the 800 Metres, MY HOME TOWN was left racing without cover. At the 500 Metres, ULTRA FANTASY was bumped by ONE WORLD which shifted out. At the 250 Metres, ONE WORLD was awkwardly placed close to the heels of HONGKONG SUPERSTAR. Over the concluding stages, DIAMOND BRILLIANCE was not ridden out when racing close to the heels of CANNONISE. Just prior to the winning post, NOBLE MAN was steadied when unable to obtain clear running between HONGKONG SUPERSTAR and MY HOME TOWN. Because of this, NOBLE MAN was not ridden out right to the end of the race. DIAMOND BRILLIANCE was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, DIAMOND BRILLIANCE was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, DIAMOND BRILLIANCE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ONE WORLD and CANNONISE were sent for sampling.
