Racing Incident Report

MASTER CRISTO bounded in the air and lost ground. When the gates opened, HORSE WIN WIN sat back, then on jumping bumped CIRCUIT HERO. Near the 1100 Metres, MERIDIAN PRIDE, which was racing tight inside CIRCUIT HERO, was steadied. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, HIGH MARK, which was awkwardly placed inside the hindquarters of LEO’S PRIDE, got its head up when being steadied. AMAZING VENTURE and SOLAR POWER, which were following, were hampered in consequence. Also making the turn at the 800 Metres, SUPER SATIN became unbalanced after being bumped on its hindquarters by OSVALDO which shifted out when being steadied away from the heels of LEO’S PRIDE. In the middle stages, BEAUTY FLASH got its head on the side and was inclined to hang out. On straightening, SEA PRINCE was steadied when having difficulty obtaining clear running between MASTER CRISTO and MERIDIAN PRIDE. Near the 200 Metres, W C Marwing (RARE TREASURE) dropped his whip. Near the 150 Metres, BEAUTY FLASH was hampered and carried wider when bumped by AASHIQ which got its head on the side and shifted out. At the 100 Metres, BEAUTY FLASH shifted in and brushed AASHIQ. At the 50 Metres, SUPER SATIN and OSVALDO bumped. In the Straight, CIRCUIT HERO hung in. Throughout the race, CIRCUIT HERO travelled wide and without cover. The performances of HIGH MARK, LEO’S PRIDE and MASTER CRISTO, which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, HIGH MARK, LEO’S PRIDE and MASTER CRISTO will all be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. While the Stewards were satisfied the riding of Z Purton (CIRCUIT HERO), 5th placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse's finishing position, he nonetheless was reminded of his responsibility to ensure he rides his mounts out right to the end of the race where circumstances permit. BEAUTY FLASH and AASHIQ were sent for sampling.
