Racing Incident Report

PLENTIFUL was withdrawn prior to Race 1 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, PLENTIFUL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After being loaded, ZEZAO became fractious. Before being allowed to race again, ZEZAO will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. ZEZAO and BINGO BINGO were slow to begin. JACOBEE, which was slow to begin, was crowded for room between MACHO EXPRESSO and LUCKY NINE which shifted in. Near the 850 Metres, JACOBEE got its head up and commenced to race fiercely when awkwardly placed close to the heels of CHARMGOLD. After this, JACOBEE continued to race greenly. Approaching the 600 Metres, JOLLY GOOD FORTUNE was steadied away from the heels of NOBLE CHOICE. Near the 550 Metres, CHARMGOLD got its head up when being checked away from the heels of JEN TRUMPS. Near the 200 Metres, BEJEWELED was steadied away from the heels of LUCKY NINE (A Suborics) which shifted in. A Suborics was reprimanded and advised to exercise more care. A veterinary inspection of NOBLE CHOICE after the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, NOBLE CHOICE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. HAPPY REUNION and LUCKY NINE were sent for sampling.
