Racing Incident Report
HERCULES was withdrawn on 15.10.21 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (fever) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter GOOD NEWS (C Schofield). Before being allowed to race again, HERCULES will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
SUPER RED DRAGON was crowded for room on jumping between MILLENNIUM FALCON and TAKE WHAT YOU NEED which shifted in. After this, TAKE WHAT YOU NEED and SUPER RED DRAGON were shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
From the outside barriers, MOON PEAKS, DR WINNING and JUDY’S STAR were also all shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain a position closer to the rail.
Making the turn after the 900 Metres, ISLAND SURPRISE got its head on the side and hung out.
Approaching and passing the 800 Metres, VICTORY SCHOLARS was steadied away from the heels of GOOD NEWS which when crossing VICTORY SCHOLARS was being steadied. C Schofield was reprimanded and told to ensure that he is properly clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
Near the 650 Metres, MILLENNIUM FALCON raced close to the heels of SEASONS BLISS.
Near the 550 Metres, VICTORY SCHOLARS was awkwardly placed close to the heels of PARTY WARRIOR when racing tight inside GOOD NEWS.
GOOD NEWS lay out rounding the Home Turn and then hung out abruptly after the 400 Metres. GOOD NEWS then continued to lay out under pressure in the Straight.
Close to the finishing line, SUPER RED DRAGON raced tight between LORIZ and PARTY WARRIOR which got its head on the side and lay out under pressure.
A veterinary inspection of VICTORY SCHOLARS and PARTY WARRIOR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SEASONS BLISS and WHIZZ KID were sent for sampling.
