Racing Incident Report

As the start was effected, CIRCUIT STELLAR became fractious and lifted its front feet off the ground, resulting in the horse losing a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, CIRCUIT STELLAR will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
SHINING GEM shifted out at the start and inconvenienced BEAUTY LIVE.
From the outside barriers, RIGHTEOUS DOCTRINE and NOWITZKI were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the 1200 Metres, SHINING GEM was left racing wide and without cover.
After the 1100 Metres, RIGHTEOUS DOCTRINE commenced to travel keenly and got its head up when racing close to the heels of DECRYPT.
For some distance approaching and passing the 1000 Metres, CIRCUIT STELLAR got its head up when travelling keenly.
Passing the 400 Metres, ACE ONE was held up for clear running behind BEAUTY LIVE.
Approaching the 100 Metres, RIGHTEOUS DOCTRINE raced tight inside RACING FIGHTER when improving into restricted room between that horse and SHINING GEM.
When questioned regarding the performance of BRILLIANT WAY, V Borges stated that the horse travelled too keenly in the early and middle stages to be able to finish the race off. He said when being steadied to obtain cover after the 1300 Metres, BRILLIANT WAY proved very difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions. He added that after being crossed by KILINDINI after the 1100 Metres, BRILLIANT WAY wound not relax. He said he was able to obtain a clear run to the inside of KILINDINI in the early part of the Straight, however, BRILLIANT WAY was not able to improve into the run due to the horse not being able to finish the race off as a result of its racing manners in the early and middle stages. A veterinary inspection of BRILLIANT WAY immediately following the race found that horse to have blood in the mouth and to have sustained a laceration to the tongue.
BEAUTY LIVE and SHINING GEM were sent for sampling.
<28/3/2022 Additional Veterinary Reports>After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on NOWITZKI at the request of Trainer T P Yung. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. The Veterinary Surgeon also reported that NOWITZKI was lame in its right hind leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, NOWITZKI will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
