8 6 RED MAJESTY (E028) Approaching the 1300 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from the heels of CAPITAL LEGEND. Approaching the 250 Metres was shifted to the outside of SHOW RESPECT to attempt to secure clear running but as a result became awkwardly placed behind ESCAPE ROUTE and was steadied near the 200 Metres. After the race, L Hewitson stated that the intention was to hold a forward position. He said on jumping he rode his mount along in an endeavour to comply with his instructions, but when RED MAJESTY showed insufficient pace to hold a forward position, he elected to shift his mount behind runners to avoid covering additional ground.
9 11 SHOW RESPECT (H138) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
10 3 VIVA HUNTER (E369) After the race, H Bowman stated that his mount was able to settle outside the lead in the early stages, but when asked for an effort in the Home Straight did not respond to his riding. He added when it commenced to give ground and was not in a competitive position, he desisted from riding it to the finish of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 1 ESCAPE ROUTE (E273) No report.
12 10 SILVER SONIC (H171) After the race, H Bentley reported that his mount did not appreciate the "Yielding” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
