1 2 FALLON (H219) Jumped awkwardly and shifted out abruptly. When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance, Trainer A S Cruz stated that he felt the reason for this was the fact that FALLON was down in class and stepping up in distance. Sent for sampling post-race.

8 4 JOYFUL FRIENDSHIP (H295) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
9 9 CIRCUIT NINE (G140) Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and was slow to begin. In light of its previous performance, CIRCUIT NINE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test before being allowed to race again. On straightening near the 450 Metres was held up for clear running until approaching the 300 Metres. After the race, M Chadwick reported that his mount was not suited by the slow early tempo. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 12 DRAGON PRIDE (D164) No report.
11 8 SUPER WISE DRAGON (G475) Got its head up and stood flat-footed as the start was effected and was subsequently slowly away. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER WISE DRAGON will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. When questioned, J McDonald stated that he was of the view that his mount’s chances were lost after missing the start. Sent for sampling post-race.
12 7 ROBOT FIGHTER (H309) No report.
13 6 LOOKING COOL (G151) After passing the 1500 Metres was inconvenienced when having to restrain off the heels of DARCI JOY to obtain cover behind that horse. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After the race, K Teetan reported that making the Home Turn near the 500 Metres his mount made contact with JOYFUL FRIENDSHIP and as a result LOOKING COOL lost momentum and failed to finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, LOOKING COOL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
14 5 IMPERIAL MAGEE (E460) After the race, A Badel expressed concern with his mount’s action during the running of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm and an endoscopic examination also showed a substantial amount of blood in its trachea. Before being allowed to race again, IMPERIAL MAGEE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
WV WIDE BLUE YONDER (G323) WIDE BLUE YONDER, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 25.12.23 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore). Before being allowed to race again, WIDE BLUE YONDER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
