Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
4 RED HARE KING (H188) Near the 350 Metres DOUBLE WIN made the turn awkwardly and shifted out, resulting in SUPER BABY shifting out and away from that runner, taking AFFIRM out towards RED HARE KING which was hampered and shifted out away from AFFIRM. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 AMAZING TEENS (E449) Sent for sampling post-race.
1 SAMARKAND (H070) Near the 300 Metres was steadied away from RED HARE KING and shifted to that runner’s inside to secure clear running.
5 SUPER BABY (G364) Shifted out and was bumped on jumping. Shifted out and away from DOUBLE WIN near the 350 Metres.
10 BEAU GOSSE (G389) Slow to begin and then was crowded by RED HARE KING which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider. Raced keenly in the early stages.
7 DOUBLE WIN (H382) After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on DOUBLE WIN at the request of Trainer T P Yung. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea.
9 KILLER INSTINCT (G020) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
2 TOTAL POWER (D138) Bumped at the start. After the race, H Bowman stated that his mount came under pressure in the middle stages and as a result he was obliged to ride it along from the 600 Metres. He added TOTAL POWER failed to respond to his riding and raced in a disappointing manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 AFFIRM (H306) Jumped awkwardly. Taken wider near the 350 Metres. After the race, M F Poon stated that whilst he was able to hold a forward position, his mount was not advantaged compared to its last start as the early stages of the event were run quicker than at its last race start. He added after being wide making the Home Turn his mount did not finish the race off thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
6 YOUNG VICTORY (D399) No report.
