7 10 LITTLE FAIRY (H206) After the race, K Teetan reported that after enjoying a good run in the event behind the leader, LITTLE FAIRY failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight and was disappointing. Noted to be making an abnormal respiratory noise after the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, LITTLE FAIRY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
8 8 JUBILATION (G029) After the race, M L Yeung reported that his mount gave ground under pressure in the Home Straight and when not in a competitive position he did not ride it out to the finish. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 1 DARCI JOY (E161) Shortly after the start was bumped and became unbalanced. Near the 1850 Metres was crowded by JUBILATION which was taken in by SPECIAL HEDGE (C L Chau) after being bumped by that runner. C L Chau was reprimanded. For a short distance near the 500 Metres raced tight between JUBILATION and LITTLE FAIRY which shifted to the outside of SPECIAL HEDGE to obtain clear running. The performance of DARCI JOY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, DARCI JOY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 5 SUPER HONG KONG (D241) Slow to begin and then was crowded by SHARPEN BRIGHT which shifted in. The performance of SUPER HONG KONG, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER HONG KONG will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
