A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. |

When questioned, H Bentley stated that after being checked shortly after the start he then commenced to shift his mount in in the early stages to take a position on the rail and to the inside of WINNING HEART. He said as he was shifting in at an acute angle, LAPRAS continued in despite his efforts, made heavy contact with the running rail near the 1000 Metres and as a result became badly unbalanced. H Bentley was advised that in similar circumstances he should exercise more care and ensure that he does not shift his mounts across at such an acute angle. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, LAPRAS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. |
