He said once he was satisfied his mount would continue to be afforded with clear running, he then was able to resume riding his mount out to the finish of the event. The Stewards were satisfied with the explanation provided by rider - Race 098.

He said as a result his mount settled behind midfield in order to comply with the instructions. Trainer confirmed the instructions and said he issued such instructions as the horse had not finished its race off when holding a more forward position at its previous race start - Race 152.

Standby Horse
2 J196  ENSHINE  30/10/2024   139  ENSHINE (J196) after being fractious in the Parade Ring made contact with a rail after exiting the Parade Ring. Was examined by the vet who said the horse had sustained a wound to its left hind leg. Acting on veterinary advice that the horse was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a parade test and passed an official vet exam - Race 139.
