When questioned in relation to his riding out of the horse to the finish, rider said over the concluding stages when he put his whip away, he reduced the vigour for a short period before recommencing when he observed a runner improving quickly to his outside. Finished 1st and rider was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race - Race 193.
