He said after making some use of his mount shortly after the start he observed a runner improve to his outside and when he was of the view he would not be able to hold that runner out, he commenced to allow that runner to cross his mount approaching the first turn. He said as he allowed that runner to cross, his mount got its head up when he eased and made the first turn awkwardly. He added making the Home Turn his mount hung out towards another runner and as a result he was obliged to correct his mount to avoid that runner before being able to ride his mount out in the Home Straight. After considering his explanation, the Stewards advised rider that he had made an error of judgement in the early stages in conceding the lead too soon when a runner improved to his outside and he should wherever possible, ensure that he rides his mounts in accordance with the instructions issued by connections - Race 330. |
