After the event, rider stated that from the outside barrier and with his mount stepping up in distance he was obliged to race back in the field. He added when under pressure in the Home Straight his mount did not respond to his riding and found it difficult to make up ground due to the middle stages of the event being run outside of standard time. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 458.

Trainer confirmed that from a wide barrier the instructions were to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. He said he issued such instruction as the horse had been racing disappointingly when taking up a forward position and to offset the wide barrier to assist the horse in finishing the race off. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 481.
