6 K247  KA YING GLORY  30/03/2025   545  KA YING GLORY (K247) when questioned rider stated that after being placed in the starting gates his mount became stirred up and was fractious. He said his mount jumped reasonably well and was able to hold an on-pace position in the early stages. He said approaching the first turn near the 900M he endeavoured to obtain a position with cover behind a runner and as he did so his mount hung out badly and made the first turn wider. He added from that point his mount continued to hang out and shifted a number of horses wider making the Home Turn before weakening in the Home Straight. Trainer advised that his mount had pleased him leading into the race and he had expected it to run well. He said, in his opinion, the horse raced on the wrong lead leg which resulted in it hanging out and racing in an uncompetitive manner thereafter. Following the race was examined by the vet who found that horse to be a “roarer”. Racing manners and performance were considered unacceptable. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial around a bend and passed an official vet exam - Race 545.

Standby Horse
1 J505  ARDEN  10/05/2025   663  ARDEN (J505) jumped only fairly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Between the 400M and the 300M had difficulty obtaining clear running. Near the 300M was shifted to the inside of a runner to obtain clear running. The horse then lay out under pressure for the remainder of the event and approaching the winning post shifted out, resulting in its rider having to correct his mount - Race 663.
