After the event rider stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages. He added his mount raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages and after being taken wider approaching the 800M did not run on when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. Trainer confirmed the instructions and said he issued such instructions as the horse was stepping up to 1650M and was racing at the Happy Valley circuit. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Performance was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 630.

After the event rider stated that over the concluding stages his whip became entangled in his reins which restricted his ability to fully test his mount out to the finish of the event - Race 640.
