She said after being able to obtain a position with cover behind that runner she elected to shift to that runner’s outside leaving the 700M as her mount has a tendency to race keenly and she wanted to give the horse an unimpeded run in the race. She added that after being obliged to race four wide and without cover from the 700M her mount responded well to her urgings in the Home Straight. The Stewards advised rider that, in their opinion, she had made an error of judgement by shifting to the outside of that runner too soon which resulted in her mount racing unnecessarily wide in the middle stages - Race 645.
