1 K150  AUTUMN VIBES  06/04/2025   569  AUTUMN VIBES (K150) when questioned, rider stated that his mount jumped awkwardly and as a result lost ground and settled at the tail of the field. He said in the early stages his mount raced keenly and was steadied away from a runner near the 1000M. When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight, rider stated that after improving to the inside of a runner on entering the Home Straight he commenced to place his mount under pressure, however, when another runner commenced to give ground quickly he became held up behind that runner between the 350M and the 250M. He added after improving to the outside of that runner, he was then placed close to the heels of the 3rd placegetter for some distance thereafter. When questioned regarding his vigour from near the 200M, rider stated that, in his opinion, his mount was under pressure and laying in and for that reason he did not fully test his mount through that section of the race as he was of the opinion the horse was not responding to his efforts. Trainer stated that if the horse commenced well the option was to take up a more forward position but accepted that on jumping the horse commenced awkwardly and settled back. He added whilst acknowledging the horse had been held up in the early part of the Home Straight he felt there was an opportunity for rider to place more pressure on his mount from near the 200M. After considering his explanation the Stewards advised rider that, in their opinion, he should have ridden his mount with more vigour after the 200M to fully demonstrate that the horse was unable to respond further to his riding and in such circumstances to ride his mounts in such a manner to leave no room for query. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Performance compared to its previous starts was considered to be disappointing. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 569.

Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 602.
