He said when his mount jumped well he elected to make use of his mount in the early stages to cross runners to his inside to avoid racing wide and that resulted in his mount holding an on-pace position - Race 703.

Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Finished tailed out and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed satisfactorily in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 647.

He said when the early stages of the event were run inside of standard time and his mount was caught wide in the early stages, he elected to steady his mount to endeavour to obtain a position with cover. He added that when a runner held its position to his inside he was obliged to race wide albeit with cover behind another runner. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Finished tailed out and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed satisfactorily in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 671.
