He said when caught wide entering the Back Straight he elected to allow his mount to stride forward to avoid racing wide and to position his mount away from the riderless runner. Noted to have lost its right front plate after the race - Race 421.
2 G229  FOREVER GLORIOUS  14/05/2025   671  FOREVER GLORIOUS (G229) prior to declaring weighed-in the Stewards gave consideration if there were sufficient grounds for a protest/objection against the eventual winner being declared the winner after the horse was crowded over the final 100M and checked approaching the winning post. Having regard to the manner in which both horses were finishing the race off and when the Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that there were sufficient grounds for a protest/objection, they declined to lodge a protest/objection and weighed-in was declared on the numbers semaphored by the Judge - Race 671.

Held up for clear running making the Home Turn and near the 300M was steadied when disappointed for clear running. Was then shifted to the inside of a runner where it secured clear running approaching the 200M. Near the 100M improved into a narrow run and as a result made contact with a runner. After the event rider stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position but his mount settled further back in the field after being crowded at the start - Race 690.
6 J155  GREAT SPIRIT  14/05/2025   675  GREAT SPIRIT (J155) shortly after the start was crowded. Approaching the 200M was eased and shifted to the outside of a runner to continue into clear running. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 675.
