became unbalanced as it was being shifted behind that runner to obtain cover. After the
event, rider reported that his mount raced too keenly in the early and middle stages and as
a result did not respond to his riding when placed under pressure in the Home Straight.
Trainer stated that the horse was disadvantaged by racing keenly throughout the event
which restricted its ability to run on in the Home Straight. After the race was examined
by the vet who said an endoscopic exam showed a substantial amount of blood in the
horse's trachea. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 573. |
