He added from the 600M his mount then improved to the inside of a runner despite his efforts to endeavour to remain racing behind that runner which resulted in his mount then being checked for some distance approaching the 400M when awkwardly placed inside that runner. He said after entering the Home Straight he was unable to ride his mount out between the 400M and the 250M when held up. ONLY U (J037) when questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight rider stated that in the early part of the Home Straight he was held up for clear running behind the 9th placegetter. He said when that runner was not improving into the race he then elected to shift to the outside of the 3rd placegetter leaving the 350M with a view to improving between the 3rd placegetter and another runner. He said when that run did not fully develop that resulted in his mount being held up for clear running between the 350M and
the 200M. He added as a result he then shifted back to the inside of the 3rd placegetter and the 9th placegetter where he secured clear running near the 150M after which his mount then ran on strongly to the finish - Race 739. |
